HARDY PALACE HOUSE BOAT

Houseboat was in backside no views at all. No heater. very cold at night. We all couldn't sleep due to extreme body pain .electric blanket is useless. We all suffered badly staying here. Hot water also was not coming properly. We wer freezing. Host was good . Great service and food.

It was well maintained and totally amazed by the interiors. Great place to stay for a night might get boring if you choose to stay for long. But in case you prefer a really quiet stay in Dal Lake you can opt for more days. They have a common sitting area cum dinning and had accommodation for 3 families in total. Service was okay. You can do a Shikara ride during your stay, the house boat person will only arrange for it.

Quality of food was bad and stale that our whole family suffered from food poisoning...We had stomache...Caretaker behaviour was so rude and very arrogant and owner was so irresponsible....Size of the bathroom was too small..And overall very bad experience...Houseboat was partially constructed

We have stayed here in October 2022. - Relatively Neat & Clean. Atleast better than many houseboats you come across. - Food - You won't get many options to choose. It is strictly limited in terms of quantity too. Quality is also not good. Better to stock other forms of food supplies for your stay. It is timely though. - Responsive staff - There's no heater inside the rooms. Some sort of bed heating mechanism is there but it doesn't work. - No waterbottle is provided during your stay. Extra chargeable - Hot water usage is restricted. There's nothing WoW in staying in a houseboat. You can totally skip it if you have done Shikara ride

Incredible Experience here. We booked the room in houseboat for 2 nights. The room was just fantabulous. Serenity everywhere. It was a well maintained houseboat. The owner also helped us with the local tourist places and arranged the shikara ride to the Dal Lake market. Owner’s family cooked us dinner in the night & breakfast in the morning and I cant begin to tell you how tasty it was. It was good 2 days that we spend there before heading to jammu.

We stayed in houseboat on 19/04/2023 Rooms are good.U dont get heater in summer.they should provide it. It was a rainy day and temperature was very down. Staff is very rude. Cook(do not know if he was cook) was very arrogant. He also stole 2 water bottle when we found out he was asking for money for those bottles.it was silly what was he thinking 😅. Also on next day he was demanding for tip over ₹500 His behaviour was very rude u will know if u visit.
