Harmukh Houseboats

My experience was no less than surreal. It felt like a different planet. The living room and dining room are very cozy yet luxurious. The deck is so beautiful with intricate carving, i dint feel like going to the room. The rooms were spacious and centrally heated. More importantly, our caretaker made us feel homely and took best efforts. It was snowing outside, he brought us hot water bags and warm water bottles. I so wished to extend our stay there. Harmukh Houseboat offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning wood-carved interiors that exude Kashmiri vibes. The warm and cozy rooms, along with well-designed drawing and dining areas, make it incredibly inviting. The service is excellent, the food delicious, and the host exceptionally hospitable. To top it all, the serene views surrounding the houseboat create a peaceful and rejuvenating ambiance. I will definitely recommend it!

We stayed one night at Harmukh houseboat (no. 6 on Nigeen Lake). The stay & service was excellent. Beautiful rooms, good food & The staff were very warm, attentive & helpful. It was a true five star experience. The only negative was (since we stayed in winter) the air conditioner (which came with heat option), even though set at a maximum of 30 degrees was barely enough to heat the room (the dressing & bathroom areas were freezing). But all in all - our stay at Harmukh houseboat exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Harmukh House boat. It is the best House boat with such incredible carving work, looks like a piece of Art. All the amenities are world class and nicely maintained. The services are very personalised. The staff and the owner Mr. Zubair made sincere efforts to make the Guests Comfortable and are literally Pampered. We have stayed in house boats earlier but our experience this time was very different. We would strongly recommend at least a days stay in this House Boat. Not to forget the Suit in Boat No -1 is by far the best accommodation possible in Srinagar including any hotel also. The food is also amazing.

Amazing houseboats, these are luxurious, clean, with all amenities. Food is just Awesome, location is excellent, well maintained, have a authentic Kashimiri feel to it. More than anything else, the owner, Zubair is a very kind person. If you are looking for excellent house boats, Go for Harmukh houseboats !!

Last month, we stayed at Harmuk Houseboat with our 3-year-old toddler. I must say, it was one of the best stays we experienced during our Kashmir trip. The hospitality provided by the staff was incredible. Despite a red alert due to very low temperatures, the hot water and heaters were functioning perfectly throughout our stay. The owner personally visited us to ensure we were comfortable. They arranged shikara rides at the perfect time, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the experience. The food was also delicious. A big thanks to Shoukhat and Shariff for making our stay so comfortable.

I recently stayed at Harmukh with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views that made our stay even more special. The property itself is grand and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. They were exceptionally cooperative, always ready to assist with a smile. It’s rare to find such attentive and genuinely caring service, and it really made a difference. If you're looking for a place that combines excellent hospitality, a serene location, and a touch of elegance, Harmukh is definitely worth visiting. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway

After spending a night at Harmukh last December, I can only recite the eminent Farsi poet Amir Khasru - “Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast, Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast!!” (If there is a paradise on earth, It is here, it is here, it is here!) This houseboat is simply a ‘work of art’. It is undoubtedly one of the best houseboats one can find in Srinagar. Starting from the spacious and aesthetically designed living room to elegantly decorated dining room to the luxurious bedrooms – every part of this houseboat is gorgeous and stunning. Located in the tranquil Nigheen Lake, this houseboat offers a breathtaking view of the lake surrounded by mountains. One can sit on the open terrace attached to the newly built grand upstairs bedroom from dawn to dusk and soak into the beauty of nature. The wonderful staffs and their outstanding service will definitely make your experience even more memorable. They prepared delicious food and were generous enough to serve few additional dishes in order to provide us a touch of authentic local cuisine. Offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury and high quality of service, Harmukh houseboat is highly recommended, and we will definitely come back during our next visit as our one-night stay was not enough to experience this beauty to the fullest.
