We booked ordinary room the hotel for Dec 9 to 11 dec'16. We reached(With 2 kids) around 7.30 Pm on 9 th and they simply told all the rooms are booked if you need, take suite rooms. Room is very neat and clean. But no hot water for bathing. Also no drinking water service to rooms . Water basin was not working. Staff's are friendly. Location also very nice.

Our first nights in Kerala were at Fort Heritage in a large room with balcony. Room was good, bathroom much less so being very tired and scruffy. Good breakfast and good location for exploring the area of Fort Kochi being about 100 metres from the water front.

We were looking for a quiet and cosy place to stay in Fort Kochi and the Fort Heritage hotel seemed appropriate from a range of choices available in this area. And this heritage hotel did not disappoint us on those parameters. Its a quaint, old world, sleepy and charming hotel close to all amenities and sights. We booked a suite room. Check in was smooth. The hotel was hardly occupied and the staff are cordial. They are non intrusive but helpful when you need any information or directions. The musty smell of the room upon entering did put me off. Later with the fan and AC, the odour went away. The suite room has a small common room when you enter and large bedroom. It consists of two single seater sofas, large double bed with blankets, large wardrobe, table and chair, mini fridge, large mirror, side tables and lamps, AC, two fans, basin with a mirror, thermos, electric kettle and glasses. Wardrobe contains hangers, extra pillows and an extra blanket. Room lighting is good. All plug points are not functional. The mini fridge did not seem to be maintained well. Toilet is large with a basin, western style commode, bath tub. Didn't find hot water automatically. Bath towels, hand towels, shampoo, soap, shower cap, bidet and toilet paper are complimentary. The mirror in the toilet has racks to put things. There is a ceiling and exhaust fan in toilet. The common room has a 3 seater sofa, centre table and another table to keep suitcase or other items. There is a fan. Room opens to a spacious common balcony running across the first floor. It overlooks the garden. Has fans and is cosy. The intercom doesn't work. There is no room service. There is a menu in the room which also gives information about the hotel's history. Only breakfast - eggs, toast, fresh juice, fresh cut fruits, butter, jam, tea/coffee - is served at the dining hall. Lunch and dinner is not served. Please ask the staff not to add sugar to your fresh juice if you prefer it that way else you will be drinking a sugar syrupy fresh fruit juice! There is a facility for Ayurvedic massage but we did not use it. It didn't look like it was much in use! Room is cleaned daily. We asked for a bottle of water when required. Wifi is free and signal strength was good. Oceanos restaurant, St Francis Church, private art gallerries, beach, eateries, Fab India are nearby at a walking distance taking 5 to 15 mins. Jew town is a 30-40 min walk.

Rooms & ambiance is totally heritage. But if you don't have water in rooms.. Then,?? ||We booked 2 rooms. unfortunately both the rooms didn't have water supply. We have been informed that some plumbing valve issue, Which got resolved after good 45 minutes. And then water started coming but the hot water was not working for both the rooms. In fact one of the rooms tap was not working, had to fill bucket with hand shower!!! Though after few requests next day morning they provided hot water buckets. ||Total experience was disappointment. Only suggestion : please check all the room and connections prior allocating.

This is an historic hotel dating back to the 1700's which is a good place to stay as close to the Fort, shops, restaurants and sea. The hotel serves a good breakfast but you need to go our for lunch and dinner. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean.

Each time I visit Cochin, I choose for the Fort Heritage hotel. I like the admosphere, all you need is there and the staff is always friendly. The place is good situated, in the heart of the old city, in a quiet street. Just you have a few minutes walk to the seaside.

Large, beautiful rooms with huge beds. Free WiFi and breakfast. Huge hall on the first floor with colonial architecture and a swing. Very close to Fort Kochi beach and other attractions. Right opposite Oceanos restaurant and in the same lane as Dal Roti restaurant.

The 17th century Dutch building, now owned by a Syrian family, has been converted into a luxury heritage hotel. For experiencing the delightful architecture that bleeds out the blending of modern art and classical Kerala architecture, a stay in this hotel is a must on every tour to Cochin. While rebuilding this building into a heritage hotel, meticulous attention is given to restore all the furnishing and décor of 17th century, to give an essence of the world gone by. Even the walls are garnished by paintings from that era.
