Colors Inn Thekkady

One of our favorite stays in India. The rooms were huge, clean and inexpensive and the owners made us feel like we were part of their family. I can't recommend this place enough. If you want to experience the real India this is the place for you and the food Shakeela prepares is the best in town. We ate out in town a couple times but always came back for Shakeelas' for her yummy delights.

A new homestay - 2 rooms very clean (2/3 pers), light and spacious with a private terrace - Hot water - Breakfast and diner available. In a quiet residential street (the jungle is just behind) - 5' by foot of the bus stand - Very friendly and warmly welcome. We feel like at home here and it was difficult to leave this place and our hosts, we will come back it's sure. Highly recommanded for people who wants authenticity and warmth. They know very good guide to help you and make your stay here unforgettable.

stayed at 4 hotels during my trip ranging from $75-$150 per evening and this hotel was the most consistent and probably the best valued hotel that we stayed at the entire trip. Service was really good and people were not just friendly but also well trained and everything there was reasonably priced and in a great location. I would highly recommend this hotel but I would request a room not in the main area and a more private room would have been preferred. Reasonable and well done

We booked it over phone after going through Trip Advisor, and guess what, we didnt made a bad decision. It was a really awesome trip for us and the stay at Thekkady Inn (even for 1 night) made it even more memorable. The place is just 10 mins drive from Kumily Bus Stand, and one will not find any problem to reach there. The co-ordinator Mr Ajmal is very much helpful and a very nice person. Now coming to the place. 1 Word "Awesome". Must stay here.

This hotel mostly feels like a madrasa & less like a hotel ..rooms ,bedsheets and pillow's are dirty unhyginic ... no room service, no wifi, rooms are like dormitory ..and toilets are like public toilets ..not recomended for families.hotel loacation is not not good

our stay at thekkady in periyar nest resort for two days was totally disappointed, its not worth paying Rs. 2600 for the delux room with limited amenities. Its not a resort at all rather a homestay. Breakfast was very limited in quantity and choice. Ist day we were served idly with sambar with no taste. next day we asked them to serve continental and it ws only bread toast and omelette with no fruit juice or fruit . Location wise also it is very interior, its in a narrow street, only 1 car can enter at time. we wont prefer this hotel again, one can find other gud hotels on main road itself with this amount

Giving one star as I can not give star less than one. Pathetic service. Booked 5 days Kerala package via Focuz Holidayz. Other hotels were acceptable but this one was pathetic. 1) I doubt the authenticity of hotel as they didn't even asked for identity card. Certainly they are not complaint 2) I brought my all luggage except one and it was delivered after 1 hour 3) we went for ayurvedic massage and specialy advised to take bath with warm water. We we're surprised to hear that warm water doesn't come in night. 4) phone/landline was there in room but not functioning 5) we beg for basic things like towel, soap and water. 6) only one towel was given and staff asked to share it among two. 7) no tissue paper were provided 8) wifi doesn't work at room inside second floor and manager enters password in your mobile and doesn't disclose the password. One need to carry laptop to him incase you need internet in your laptop. :-( 9) no mineral water provided even if you are ready to pay. 10) we asked for pair of cup, plate and spoons. Only one spoon were provided and reason given was that there is no extra spoon available. 11) we were disturbed more than 5 times by cable guy and his friend. They were fixing tv.12) when we complain the hotel manager, he said that there are several other guest staying in hotel but no one is complaining, it's only you who is complaining. I was speechless. Pathetic service. Very disappointed.
