We had lunch at the restaurant and it was not good. Tasteless, strange ingredients and did not feel fresh.

The cheapest accommodation and hall available in Thekkady. The hall is suitable for all type of events. It can accommodate more than 500 people at a time. Easy accessible location in a calm and quite place with lot of tree surrounding. The room service and facility must be improve. Dirty rooms, dirty bathrooms, not even a generator in case of power failure, stray dogs are rampant, there are many good hotels in kumali, very bad experience at the holiday home.

Holiday home under the department of Labour Kerala is a very good place for all events for those who loves the nature. Natural Air conditioner with the background music of "cheeveed"

No proper maintenance, repair or painting had carried out so far. Bathroom are in very pathetic condition. Rooms were not clean and full of dust. Not recommended if you are looking for a neat clean stay.

They have good Rooms . 400 Rupees for single room 600 Rs for double room . 1600 Rs for single Villa type ( 4 person can stay). And a dormitory can hold upto 20 person which cost around 2400/- including gst . They also have good canteen ( morning breakfast cost up to 40 Rs , for lunch 50 Rs ( meals including fish fry ). For dinner chappaty chicken 50 Rs , kanji 25 Rs . I personally like the holiday home , There security is a very friendly man ( shibin ) he was very helpful .

The holiday home is built by labour welfare fund board. All members can avail 50% discount for rooms and dormitories. There dormitories and around 12 rooms available to stay. There is 3 suit rooms too. It located near to the thekkadi periyaar national park.
