Hotel Harbour View

While it might be an overstatement to call this hotel a true Colaba retreat, it certainly comes highly recommended. If you plan to stay here, I would suggest booking a room with a balcony and ocean view for the best experience. Although rated as a three-star hotel, it doesn’t feel overly basic, offering a nice balance of comfort and amenities. One quirk to be aware of is that the building houses another hotel downstairs, whose name is prominently displayed at the entrance, which can make finding your way a bit confusing at first. The guest rooms are located on the third floor, with a restaurant situated just above on the fourth. Nadim, who handled the afternoon shift at the front desk during our stay, was exceptionally professional—he anticipated guest needs and provided clear, helpful responses to our requests. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is served in the fourth-floor restaurant. The buffet selection was limited, and the tea options were a bit underwhelming, with only tea bags available. However, the made-to-order omelets were delicious. I also noticed Indian guests requesting traditional bread, which added a nice local touch. The hotel’s location is excellent. It’s just a short walk to iconic landmarks like the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal Hotel, and if you head in the opposite direction, you’ll find yourself in the heart of a bustling local market.

This is a real find, the hotel room is very small but once you open the french windows out to the harbour you forget all that, it is awesome. The rooms are nice and the location is great, everything close by including the cruise terminal and the Gateway to India. Breakfast was included and very nice at the rooftop restaurant, looking at over the harbour. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the laundry service is fantastic.

We did pay for a sea facing room with balcony so I can’t comment on others but our room was perfect with wonderful views. We arrived 3 hours before the official check in but the room was ready and we were given the key straight away.|The location was ideal, just 10 mins to Colaba market, Mondegar and Leopolds. If you walk by the sea wall you come to the Gateway of India and The Taj Palace within 10 mins.|The staff were friendly.|The rooftop terrace was first class offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to cocktails which were all delicious. The views were spectacular. |If I had a complaint it was that in our four day stay cleaners did not come once. I’m not one to want clean sheets and towels every day but emptying the bins and replacing toilet paper would have been good. That said I’m still giving this hotel 5 stars because it really was a lovely little find and 100% the best 2 * hotel we have ever stayed in.

The service is where I had an issue. The laundry guy from the hotel ruined my clothes and no one in hotel took responsibility . Location is great & rooms are ok

It's a gem 💎 in Colaba facing the sea, Gateway Of India (from one side) and Taj (on the other side). Walking distance to nearby eat outs, shopping etc., Our association with the team in Harbour View - Sahil, Adnan, Rajeev Rakesh, Veeru was excellent 👌 and they always have a helping attitude and good customer service. The restaurant above is also a nice one to try.

Transfer from airport was efficient and reasonably priced. On arrival we were warmly greeted as, although we had never been before, we had credit from a cancelled 2020 booking! Lovely clean room with amazing view. Only issue was the aircon wasn't working so a maintenance man spent about an hour fixing it - we didn't really need it anyway! Food on the rooftop terrace was excellent, with meals and drinks chargeable to the room. Walking distance of Gateway to India, Taj Palace Hotel, Prince of Wales museum, Leopolds etc. They even gave me some unused credit back in cash when we checked out! A great start to our trip...

We had gone for snacks and the view is great but only if you are seated at the right table.
