NillThe room was on the terrace, totally secluded and inconvenient. The room was infested with lizards. No hand towels. Just a medimix soap. The host is extremely hands off. Maybe that's her style. The saving grace was the availability of chilled beer ! There are plenty of smaller , yet cleaner hotels in Jaisalmer for lesser price. I would not recommend this hotel.

NillLocated inside Jaisalmer fort, this property happens to have best sunset point of Jaisalmer. Staying inside fort was all together a wholesome experience. Room interiors were quite royal with washroom attached, good food, and host was very kind. This place happens to have a 4-legged friend, a golden retriever.

NillHotel Jaisal Castle has a distinction of being the oldest hotel in the fort of Jaisalmer. We were four friends hosted by the owner (descendant of the royal family) and his family for dinner. It was really an awesome experience- more due to the personal touch and service of the hosts. The entire place bears a semblance of a castle, or an old haveli. The roof top restaurant gives an amazing view of Jaisalmer City and a side of the fort. Guests do prefer to come over to the terrace once to enjoy the view and satisfy their photographic instincts. One can start the early evening by drinks and starters here and then move down to the courtyard for dinner, or alternatively can order dinner at the terrace itself. The place and its staff sure gives a homely feel and a personal touch. The ambiance and the décor is very authentic. The hotel has a home stay concept. Rooms and washrooms are clean and very well maintained. The food is worth a try as it is cooked fresh and savour the taste buds. Overall, a cool and awesome evening experience. Strongly recommended for stay as well dine out during your visit to Shonar Qila.

★★★★★The room I stayed in was charming and comfortable. The windows and large balcony outside my door faced a beautiful desert sunset. I had room to practice yoga and meditation on the balcony which was very enjoyable each morning, and with the sunset. In the morning, they always offered me complimentary breakfast freshly prepared as I ordered. I had a masala omelette and porridge with honey. Both were nice. I really liked my room it’s definitely one of the nicest I’ve stayed in India. Also the A/C in the room worked well. ||Overall very good experience and good value as well honestly for what your getting. Inside fort, nice views, old charming property, nice architecture, complimentary breakfast, a/c in room, clean, very friendly and hospitable hosts. ||I paid like 10,000 rupees for 4 nights which I think is a great value. I learned that other places, even outside the fort, are charging twice as much for similar styles.

NillThe hotel is located inside the fort but reachability is an issue. Don't plan your stay at winter as hot water in washroom is a myth. After following up for 45 mins it comes for 15 mins. Food are very expensive and without taste. The lady has attitude issue seems she allowed people to stay at her house in charity.

NillWe stayed a room in Jaisal Castle managed by royal family of Jaisalmer (Pikoo). This was a great choice and amazing stay. Rooms - this haveli is over 200 years old and rooms still look the same and gives you the feeling of stay at a royal place. This is a home stay and you can book it thru AIRBNB Service - was good, u get what you asked for, considering this is a home stay. LOCATION - Amazing location inside the castle. If you are visiting Jaisalmer, do stay here.

NillHad an amazing family holiday here and a memorable one. The accommodation and all are comfortable without being luxurious but what makes the place special is the personal attention of the owner and host Pikoo and her family. On the final night of our stay her husband and daughter joined us and their warmth and spontaneity made an already memorable holiday. Even the septuagenarian matriarch of the family made us feel welcomed. The food is again simple and supremely wholesome and more so because it is literally home cooked in front of your eyes. The rooftop view is spectacular, the staff extremely helpful and the family pet Posto does more than his bit to help you settle in. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this heavenly place and the warm and welcoming family that runs the place.
