Hotel Golden Pagoda

Most 3rd class hotel I have ever booked in my life... I booked a Super Deluxe Room No 103 MG Marg facing... The Bedsheets were torn Rooms were damp... Curtains never ever Washed... No TV access which was one of my needs for my 5 years old child... TV subscription expired when I said to sw on the TV was their reply.. Very Very unclean Washroom... And last and not the least no power Backup.... I shouted for every service every time... We had booked for 2 days but My wife urged me to change the hotel... So next day we shifted to another hotel... Don't visit this hotel...

Location is perfect, just inside M.G.Marg. I stayed in this hotel for three nights but would will give 3 stars out of 5. The hotel menu consist of many items but hardly you will get one. No Thali, Rajasthani, South Indian dishes available. If you want to have your breakfast before 8:30AM then forgot abut eating. Food is good, service is also OK. But if you are a corporate professional & want your food bill on a daily basis(KOT) then hotel will not provide with the daily basis KOT, in fact they will give you in a single KOT bill. Overall Hotel is very good but only if they try to listen the suggested lines.

The hospitality of this hotel is worst. The staff don't have the manner to talk to the guests. No proper service was given. Even the washrooms are not clean.

It is a beautiful hotel at the heart of M. G. Marg. The rooms are quite beautiful but i am not happy with the quality of food which I ordered. The food was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. Even the Quantity wasn't sufficient. It's a family hotel and it's restaurant is on the top floor. You will get beautiful view from the windows. I loved the hotel for its location as it is easily accessible and affordable as well.

Bang on M G Marg, location is the best USP of this property. The service is not up to the mark, the room tariff starts from 2.5k, but if you need a room facing MG Marg you need to shell out more. There is a restaurant on the top floor and they serve only vegetarian dishes.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days from 22nd March to 26th March 2016. We had a pleasant stay and the rooms are neat and the services are also very good. The restaurant at the top floor serves all veg. food with good quality. The hotel is situated on MG Marg. which is main area in Gantok and access to travel agencies, shopping and restaurants.The hotel Manager Sri Pradeep Agarwal (M) 09832026212 is helpful in guiding us. This is a budget hotel for medium level travellers I thank them for their sincere services.

Ambience and hospitality is good. Located right on N.G. Mark. The washroom is tidy, rooms are neat and clean. Room service is fast. Pure veg food is available. Genarator available. One drawback, there's no charging port beside the bed. Overall it's good.

Stay if you have no self esteem! The rooms are dirty and smelly, the staff is not ready to listen to anything. It’s like a cheap motel with staff who has no interests in what the guest are saying or facing. Simple answer to everything “bas essa hi hai” They shut the gate of the hotel at 11 and if you come post that you have to wait for half an hour to an hour for it to open. The staff smokes inside the property. The manager is the most inefficient person I have met in recent times. He bluntly said “guest ka kam galti nikalne ka hai” . Had booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. One room had to be shifted the same day cause they just couldn’t stay. For the other two it was a nightmare.
