Himalayan Heights Hotel (Jewel of the East Group)

We were staying in this hotel for two nights (4th &5th June 2024) with my family and had an extremely bad experience. They claim themselves to be 3 star hotel, but the quality is worse than an average budget hotel. Room is ok but bathrooms was not clean enough. So many dirty spots here and there. There was no toiletries except liquid soap. The exhaust fan of bathroom was not working and foul smell was coming out of thr bathroom. There service quality is also very bad. At the day of check in there was no one to carry the baggage to 5th floor where room was allotted, although there was no lift. Although we booked the under plan with breakfast, we couldn't have breakfast due to bad service. The behavior of their manager Mr. Dani Pussang is extremely bad. Don't go by their rating, most of the 5 star rating were fake and given by there manager Dani and his associates. If you search the 5 star ratings, you make find the truth. Hence, I recommend all to avoid booking this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at JEWEL HIMALAYAN HEIGHTS Hotel during a business trip to Gangtok. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's warm ambiance and attentive staff. The hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring the city during my free time. The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of meetings. The amenities provided, such as high-speed internet. I appreciated being within walking distance of popular attractions Mahatma Gandhi market, allowing me to make the most of my limited downtime between meetings. Thank you to the entire team at JEWEL HIMALAYAN HEIGHTS Hotel for making my stay truly memorable. I look forward to returning in the future and experience your hospitality once again.

Really awesome place to stay , mind-blowing views of mountains, aristocratic styles rooms.decent food but average service. Pretty decent location, on road.

Very horrible service.. no lift ..terrible ambiance..this is a 1 star hotel for sure . When we checked in there were used towels in the bathroom and basic cleaning of bathroom and room was not done. Terrible experience over all

The stay is pathetic & the food is extremely bad. We stayed for 3Nights & all the 3 nights they just made Aloo & Baingain. We requested for a change on the 2nd night but again for the 3rd night they served the same thing. We then argued for this in which the manager replied that chef was not ready to change the menu. Later we complained to the owner of the hotel company & was extremely rude to talk & unprofessional says itna kuch problem nahi hai aap muje pareshan mat karo & vahape manager se baat karlo & says we are not liable to your question when asked will you eat the same thing for 3 days.

The stay was pleasant and the staff was extremely friendly. The view from the room was elegant. The food was decent. Overall the stay was nice.

Great place to stay. Need to maintained well. Bathrooms were dirty. Hygiene should be practiced well.
