OYO 12214 Hotel Soyang

I stayed in this hotel from 24/10/2019 to 26/10/2019 in deluxe room. Only few staffs were there. Bathroom door was not locking so the room was cold. Service was very poor. I asked for a extra pillow several times on 1st night, but did not give me, though there was no rush. Next day morning, on breakfast table, asked for hot tea and breakfast. They delayed for 45 minutes to serve it, though there was only 7 members on that time, even they serve cold tea instead of hot. Food costing is very high. I didnt take tour package from the hotel, may be this is the reason the staffs behaved like this. Better you choose another hotel instead of this.

A very bad hotel at services. We had a prior booking from OYO. We reached in the evening and already our room was given to someone else. We had to wait for 1.5hrs den they allotted us a room. Their phone number doesnt work. The room service is very bad. They don't even come to provide water in the rooms. If you order anything in the restuarant, you get the food after 2hrs. The extra mattresses provided in the room are not clean. We had complimentary buffet breakfasts, but we wr given only aloo parantha fr that, nuthing else.

We stayed at this hotel for three days. It is one of the most horrible stays we have ever had in any hotel till date. First two days we stayed at a suite. 1)No drinking water kept. 2)Bathroom was smelling even after requesting they did nothing about it 3) coakroaches in the room 4) not clean as per suite standards For the third day we booked a standard room. 1) bathroom was dirty apart from the wc 2) no drinking water given 3) for pre-booked breakfast we got one single aloo paratha. (Yes thats it) While checkout we requested them to keep our luggage for a couple of hours so that we could spend the last few hours enjoying at MG marg for which they refused. Hence we had to sit at their reception for the last three hours of gangtok guarding our luggage which we could have spent making memories. The hotel is old which i and my husband don’t mind much. But staff behaviour and hygiene is of utmost importance which this hotel is lagging far behind at.

The staff was little unresponsive to calls and during breakfast. They miss your order. Place is very congested because of a lot of buildings around. No ventilation. Other than that, the stay was fine. Bathrooms were good. Location was at MG Marg which is very useful. Overall a good place. Could have been better

First of all this hotel is located after a steep walk of 2-3 mins. The building is quite far from the main gate which makes it confusing. The pics are completely different than what we got. We faced trouble since we entered. Didn't receive towel for one day for which we couldn't take shower. We received towel next day that too after repeatitive follow ups, apparently there was some issue with laundry. Then the geyser wasn't working, which was solved again after repeatitive follow up. The room is dusty but has good sofa with the tv located nicely. The terrace offers good view.

Excellent hotel of this class...newer property and kept extremely clean. All staff is very friendly and give warm welcome and there sanitary condition is upto the mark . Breakfast area is spacious and one of the best in a gangtok Mg marg and I have experienced. This stay was during several events in town and they handled groups well. Parking have sufficient place . I actually stayed here twice in the same week/ weekend. Second time back was upgraded to a suite which was very nice and spacious with refirgerator (freeze) . I'll be back to this place and highly recommend to others when in the area.

The worst hotel I've stayed in. Location is good, on MG marg. Everything else is pathetic. Not a family hotel at all. Locals come here to drink and party, play loud music at night and owners keep mum. We stayed with our 3 yrs old son for two days and it was horrible, insecure and disturbing. People banged gates, shouted, played loud music and behaved drunk till 2 am in the morning. Rooms are not even worth of INR1000. DONT BOOK IF YOU ARE PAYING MORE.

This facility was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet with no road noise and very conveniently located. The breakfast was hot, tasty and frequently replenished. Parking is ample and convenient. The only suggestion would be a more comfortable chair with a higher back in the room. I would definitely return to this facility.
