HOLYWATER Hotel by Ganga Kinare

On our way to a Himalayan trek at Dayara Bugyal , Rishikesh was our place we start our road trip to and from Raithal the base camp for DB trek. So we ended up staying for 2 nights, one night before and one night after the trek ended. Location of the hotel was very good on the relatively uncrowded part of the city outskirts close to AIIMS in Virbhadra road. This hotel is the newer addition to this group's 4 hotels , the original boutique one now rebranded as wellness one being closely. The prebooking experience was seam less and the staff welcoming. We would obviously have preferred a room with the mountain view, but that was not available and were told it was a different category one. Deluxe room was spacious , well appointed, clean and hygienic , Bath rooms with shower and 24/7 hot water with toiletries was spic and span. IPTV is the only option for TV and despite efforts of the maintainence personnel trying (he asked me to enter my gmail account to activate the youtube! which obviously I refused) . Now a days some hotels make do with the dish/ DTH and provide channels only thru internet and this I think due to the Wifi limitations does not work well and they should have both options. Food in Varr restaurant ( b'fast and dinner) was good and staff courteous and accommodative. Only disappointment was the Spa which I booked after going thru their menu, when I went to avail the same , they directed me to have the same in their other hotel (3 star), and I ended up paying double the advertised rate in the flyer for the same selection ( they said steam was not working in their place)! Although the spa service was good it was pretty expensive at 5.5K for 60 mins!

Had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.||The breakfast buffet had a great variety — fresh, delicious, and well presented. The location was perfect too, close to restaurants and main attractions, yet quiet enough for a peaceful night’s rest.

Had a great stay with my parents here. The rooms were neat and well-maintained, and the balcony offered a lovely view of both the mountains and the city. The hotel is conveniently located on the main road, making it easily accessible. The staff were extremely supportive and went out of their way to assist us in every possible manner. A special shoutout to Vidya for genuinely taking care of us—she patiently addressed all our queries, guided us with suggestions, and always checked in to ask if we enjoyed each place we visited.

This is a fine hotel in Rishikesh. Hotel staff are good and very much professional. Rooms were clean and hygienic. We enjoyed Yoga class near river side. Food items were good exactly like homemade. This hotel has their own ghat for holy dip and evening Ganga Aarti.

From the amazing warm welcome on checking, being created by garland and blessings and throughout the entire 4 days stay the service the warmth did not stop. |I have to specially thank Vidhya who always greeted me with a smile and asked about my outing, she went out of her way to help me with rickshaw on my first day when I was so anxious to step out alone. |The whole front staff team were always welcoming and friendly. ||Food at Varr|Food is genuinely soul healing and authentic. I had Thali and everything thing was explained to me which made the experience that much more amazing. I don't have a huge appetite so was worried about wastage but they serve you the amount you want which was perfect from me. There was sooooo much food variety. |I had breakfast included in my rate and there was buffet, limited items but it was more than enough to enjoy for me. You must try the Ragi Dosa which is included in breakfast but order separately. The Masala Idli was so tasty. |I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Veer and he gave me great advice of visiting Virbadhra Mahadev Mandir not far from hotel. It was a pleasure speaking to him and I appreciated he took the time out to speak to me. |The restaurant staff were always welcoming and attentive. ||Hotel |I had a superior double room with balcony on 1st floor. The room was great for a solo traveller and probably for a couple too. Bathroom was perfect for western needs and well replenished. Clean and comfortable bed and pillows. I was accommodated with iron and board at no cost and it arrived promptly after requesting. ||For me addition of having a Mandir few rooms down was just amazing as I'm Radha Krsna Bhakt. I even was blessed to do Aarti one morning there. I had a pleasant conversation with Acharaya Rahul Bhatt who was doing Aarti. ||When ever I needed water or bathroom replenished the team were prompt and very accommodating. Calling reception was easy and informative every time. ||I had a full body massage at the hotel which was fabulous. Although their sister company Ganga Kinare spa treatment was absolutely amazing. ||The hotel is literally 5min walk to their sister Hotel Ganga Kinare. Staying at Holywater was more an affordable option for me but with the advantage of using the Ganga Kinare facilities. |Access to Bhagirath Ghat where I did my Ganga Bathe Dip, was 5min walk. Quite a few spots there to do dip. The promenade walk is amazing too. It felt safe for a solo traveller to go to and enjoy some meditation. Further along is the private Ghat by Ganga Kinare which also offers Ganga Bathe Dip with safe secure ways. ||Rickshaws were easily available from the main road to go to Treveni Ghat Aarti (300RS) and also to Ram Jhula/Janki Jula (200/250RS) Tapovan is far out but rickshaw can take you close to Lakshman Jhula (500RS). These are one way charges. |Hotel staff were really helpful in hailing a rickshaw for you if you feel overwhelmed to do so your self. I was helped by Vidhya and then I just got use to it myself and managed to get a number from a rickshaw driver and used him for a few trips. They also were helpful in giving you a idea of how much rickshaws cost etc.

I had a truly memorable stay at Hotel Holywater by Ganga Kinare in Rishikesh. The location is absolutely perfect—right on the banks of the Ganges, offering peaceful views and a calm ambiance that’s ideal for relaxation or spiritual rejuvenation. The rooms were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and comfort. The staff was incredibly warm, courteous, and always ready to assist with a smile, making the hospitality feel very personal. The food was another highlight—delicious, freshly prepared, and with a good range of vegetarian options. Dining with a view of the river was a serene experience in itself.

The best hotel in Rishikesh. Rooms were very spacious. Breakfast was the best. Poha was good. This hotel has a complimentary holy dip with safety jackets. And evening Ganga Aarti. Gave chance for the devotees to do Aarti.

Great service, if you want to be away from the main city at the end of the day. Its best. Clean. Attentive staffs. Breakfast was nice. Look exactly same as in the photo.
