HOLYWATER Hotel by Ganga Kinare

Upon check in, I was greeted by a very kind woman with prayer beads and pujas (a prayer). Being a tourist in india for the first time as a solo visitor, everyone on the staff made me feel like family. I tried to learn Hindi prior to my trip, but it was difficult. I spoke what I could and the staff was nothing if not helpful. They helped me with the few words I knew and never made me feel unwelcome, in fact, they helped me with my Hindi and also spoke to me in English when needed. The Vaar restaurant connected to the hotel served the best breakfast I have ever had in my life, not to mention that the Tali dinner curated with foods from temples around India was superb to say the least. For breakfast get the Sambar or Chola Batura, you won’t regret it. The best part of staying here as a foreigner is that when I was there, I was the only one. The people were curious, and me being shy, I was able to meet people in an intimate environment, and through that was blessed to learn about India from people all over the country. Additionally I sampled the spa witb a deep tissue massage, as this type of self care is rare for me to take advantage of, I am glad that I did. The prices were fair, the quality of service was top tear, then you finish off in the steam room, and for me personally a dip in Ganga at their sister hotel’s private Ghat across the street. Lastly, it is wonderful to also have access to their sister property’s amenities free of charge. I look forward to telling everyone I know to stay here if they are in Rishikesh, and God willing, if I am blessed enough to return to India one day, I look forward to staying with Holywater and its staff again.

Amazing stay. Amazing food. Lovely people. We will definitely return and recommend to our friends and family as well. Restaurant has an amazing selection of satvic food. Definitely use facilities at ganga kinare including holy dip, ganga aarti etc.

The staff are all very lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. I had two massages which were both very relaxing and healing. I felt very safe as well, which is paramount for me as a solo female traveler.

Excellent, clean and luxurious rooms, delicious food, attentive staff, and easy access to the path that goes along the Ganga for walking to various attractions. The cab service was also very helpful and reasonably priced. I would definitelt stay at this hotel again.

This is one of the most peaceful place with pious pure food with really clean facility. The staff including the Chef Pradeep Badoni made really good Satvik food which is without onion garlic. Homemade fresh quality food and the service is excellent as well. People are warm hearted, simple and the ambience and decor for the restaurants and rooms are appealing and inviting. Close to the market but not so close to make it noisy and crowded road facing. The room view also has Holy river Ganga in close proximity.

Wonderful property Liked every thing about it.. Breakfast was superb, staff was superb they supported us by managing all our late night requests of cleaning the room (spoilt by kids) and then setting up of extra beds etc etc.. We booked 6 rooms on the spot for our family for two nights (27 & 28 Dec ‘24) and this was our best decision which we made for this trip !! No regrets at all, property is worth the price for the value it offers!! Clean decent size rooms & loos. Family rooms are really great but we missed it, unlucky us !! Central temperature control makes it very convenient in the winters.. Very nice restaurant with nice breakfast spread and is reasonably priced in case you opt for lunch or dinner at the place.. To top it all property also provides access to their private ghat at Ganga Kinare hotel which is 500 mtrs from this place.. They even conduct morning & evening Aarti on their private ghat which any guest can attend !! Don’t think twice just GO FOR IT !!!!

Very clean hotel. Room cleaning staff members are efficient and very good at their job. Even the dining staff served us very well ensuring we end up overeating in each of our breakfasts. The Lord Krishna temple in the hotel, the lovely reception on arrival, Ganga water bottle while checking out, private Aarti and pricate access to Ganga Ghat- all made our stay very spiritual. Special thanks to the reception desk members like Kanchan, Sanjay and others for making our stay comfortable, booking us a lovely dinner at Jal and Jalebi restaurant and guiding us with our itinerary.

Small hotel with 18 rooms. Some rooms have balcony attached and you can have day light..called city vibe rooms and are costlier than non view rooms. Room size and aminities are same. Good sized room with clean washroom and toiletries. Tea coffee maker. Non functional small refrigerator. Cooperative and courteous staff. Varr is their dining restaurant.. speciality is thali which costs rs. 1000 per person. Rest of the menu is limited, but food quality is good. Ambience of restaurant is good. Breakfast too has limited menu. Being religious town.. getting non veg food including egg preparations are not a part of menu. No alcohol too. The best part is..they have another property " Gannga kinare resort" just 200 meters away across the road..by the side of Ganga river..and you can use many facilities there for free..like ganga aarti, yoga, bicycle etc. We two couples stayed at Holywater for two nights and enjoyed at Ganga kinare .which is a much bigger place..and costly too. They arranged Holi celebration and called folk dancers , holi by flowers and supplied unlimited thandaaee, mattha, gujhiya and kachri for free. They have small and clean and safe ghat to take a dip in Ganga ji. Please go through photos and videos attached.
