It was nice stay there. The location is superb. The ambience is very attractive, the attitude of the team of dedicated staff and Manager(Rakesh) worth mentioning, the properties attached - fish farm, nursery, aquarium, birds, veg and other gardens, walkways, Ayurvedic treatment centre etc are super. We were a bit sorry that we could spend only one night and nearly two days at this wonderful place and left this resort with a resolve to visit again in more numbers.

We had a delightful stay at Carmel where we had most wonderful Aryuvedic treatment and such a relaxing and enjoyable time that we are still savouring those moments. The resident doctor Dr Binish Cherian oversaw the treatment and both my wife and I had great massages and Shirodhar. The food was heathy and fresh and served in your own patios. The surrounding area is covered in green foliage and there is a great variety of herbs and fruits. They have a bird aviary and a fish farm too and the village sits on the bank of a river with a dam near by. The bungalows are adequate without being extravagant but quite roomy. The place is about an hour’s drive from Cochin so fairly accessible. We are definitely going back for more next year. (It may become a habit!!).

Review of Carmel Ayurveda Resort Bhoothankettu Recently, I spent my holidays in India and had the pleasure of experiencing a 7-day Ayurveda rejuvenation program at the Carmel Ayurveda Resort in Bhoothamkettu. My time there was truly wonderful, and I am delighted to share my experience. First and foremost, I am immensely grateful to Dr. Bineesh Cherian and the therapist Vishnu. Dr. Cherian's expertise and personalized care were evident throughout my stay. Vishnu, in particular, stood out for his exceptional skills and profound knowledge in his field. His treatments were not only effective but also deeply relaxing, contributing significantly to my overall rejuvenation. The food at Carmel Ayurveda Resort was another highlight of my stay. Each day, I was treated to a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes that were both healthy and incredibly flavorful. The culinary team’s ability to create such diverse and tasty meals left me speechless. Every meal was a new adventure in taste, adding to the overall wellness experience. Additionally, the natural beauty surrounding the resort is breathtaking. Being nestled in such a serene location added a magical touch to my stay. I found myself enjoying and loving the beauty of nature, which complemented the rejuvenation process perfectly. However, there is one area that could use some improvement: hygiene. While my overall experience was highly positive, I did notice that certain aspects of cleanliness could be enhanced to match the high standards of the rest of the resort. Despite this, my experience at Carmel Ayurveda Resort was so positive that I am already planning to return next year. I highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a holistic and refreshing getaway. The combination of expert care, delectable food, and stunning natural surroundings makes it a perfect destination for rejuvenation and relaxation.

We had an incredible day at Carmel Tourist Village! Boating along the Periyar River at the Boothathankettu Dam must have been quite an experience, especially surrounded by such lush greenery. Exploring the forest and enjoying the variety of fruits sounds delightful, and the pet area adds an extra charm to the experience. The lotus garden and children's play area, Cactus garden sound like perfect additions for a well-rounded visit.it's definitely a must-visit for nature enthusiasts!

Near to Bhoothathankettu dam site and on the banks of Periyar river. Nice view of nearby hills and forest, and an organic farm with fruit trees, flower garden, fish farm, and a variety of medicinal and native trees

Stay was very comfortable with delicious food & friendly staff. Carmel Tourism Village is wonderful place who are looking forward for a peaceful weekend. The location is amazing as well as the facilities in the resort, very comfy. It was all in nature's arms. Very peaceful and quiet place.

Carmel Tourism Village is like Kerala's green heart, it's full of beautiful nature with all its gardens and animals. All of the staff, the most friendly people, take care of the guests and the aera in the most wonderful way. I experienced high professionality and I feel honoured to have new friends in my life. I will definitely come again to get wonderful Ayurveda treatments, best food cooked with love, to have interesting and joyful excursions in an incredibly beautiful and friendly surrounding. Big thanks to Boney, the General Manager, and all of the staff who made my stay in Carmel Tourism Village from the heartly welcome on a fantastic and extraordinary time!
