Club Mahindra Resort - Mount Serene, Kerala

We had a wonderful stay at Club Mahindra Mount Serene, Munnar during the monsoon in early August. Although the resort is located about 2 km uphill from the main Club Mahindra Munnar property, this turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. The peaceful surroundings, breathtaking views of misty hills from our room, and the tranquil atmosphere made it the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. I would especially recommend Mount Serene for couples looking to unwind amidst nature.|The hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. A special thanks to Himanshu at the Front Office, who guided us with great warmth and ensured that our stay was comfortable from check-in to check-out.|The Food & Beverage team truly made our experience memorable. The service was consistently warm, attentive, and professional. Our sincere appreciation goes to Dona, Ayush, Irfan, Aji Singh, and Aditya for their outstanding hospitality and the genuine care they showed throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire Mount Serene team for making our holiday so memorable.

Very nice experience especially the club manager and the staff. Food is also above average. Accessibility is a bit hard only drive if you are skilled in hilly areas. Rooms are clean and tidy. Very pleasant weather. They also upgraded our premium rooms to studio rooms with balcony without any extra charge.

Club Mahindra located in between Tea Gardens looks mesmerising. Rooms were spacious but bathrooms were little bit congested. Hospitality is very good and staffs were very friendly and supportive. Food was awesome. View from the rooms were really mind blowing. All the furnitures were well designed and gave a heritage feel. Overall experience was good and we enjoyed lot.

Extremely disappointing experience at Club Mahindra Lake View Resort, Munnar. Considering the premium price charged by the resort, the overall experience was far below expectations. The service was exceptionally poor, and there seemed to be virtually no management oversight. Simple requests took an unreasonable amount of time to be addressed. The food is heavily overpriced, and the waiting time is ridiculous. Dishes take nearly an hour to prepare and another hour to be delivered, so guests are effectively expected to place orders two hours in advance. The property also suffers from frequent power cuts, which is unacceptable for a resort of this category. To make matters worse, there were maintenance issues in the room, including water leakage from the washbasin and shower area. The Wi-Fi barely worked throughout the stay. Another major drawback is the location. While the resort advertises its scenic surroundings, it is situated around 30 km away from the main town, with no markets, restaurants, or conveniences nearby. Guests are left with little choice but to rely on the resort’s overpriced food and services. The only positive aspect of this property is the beautiful view. Unfortunately, the view alone cannot justify the high prices, poor service, maintenance issues, and overall lack of hospitality. I would not recommend this resort and would certainly not stay here again.

Very Disappointing Stay at Club Mahindra Lake View Our experience at Club Mahindra Lake View was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. The room was poorly maintained, with lizards, flies, and other insects frequently seen inside. The bathroom had a persistent foul smell, and the fittings were old and poorly maintained. The entire room had a musty, unpleasant odor, making our stay uncomfortable. The food was another major letdown. Most dishes were tasteless, lacked freshness, and did not meet even basic quality expectations. Considering the reputation of the resort, the dining experience was highly disappointing. The only positive aspect of our stay was Jyothi Ma'am and Koyal mam at the restaurant, who was courteous, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout. Her professionalism and willingness to assist stood out amidst an otherwise poor experience. Overall, the property needs significant improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, room hygiene, and food quality. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing resort stays we have experienced, and we would not recommend it in its current condition.
