Excellent location with great views. The Resort is very beautiful and rooms are well placed. The front desk is efficient and handle the check in smoothly. The rooms are spacious and clean and very well maintained. The overall ambience is awesome. We also enjoyed the bonfire and music along with many guests. The food was good without being great. Felt the pricing of food was expensive, almost five star rates. Room service is good and the staff are prompt. Overall a five star ratings to this awesome place.

This resort has rooms with valley views and normal rooms like any other lodge. If you are a member you often get normal rooms. If you are non member you may get rooms with valley views but depends on your budget. Food is excellent, free breakfast applies for non members. If you are a member you will get a 10% discount on food and beverages. But ensure your bill reflects the discount, else you may end up paying 10% extra. The resort conducts various activities on weekends. Also the resort has good parking space and has a separate dormantary for tourist cab drivers.

The experience of our stay at Sterling Ooty was highly disappointing. We were on a family vacation for two days and had booked four balcony view rooms at the Sterling Ooty property. We chose this property based on positive reviews on Google. The total amount paid for our stay was ₹98,000. However, during our stay, we faced several issues, which are detailed below: Room Allocation Issues: On the first day, we were not provided with all valley-view rooms as promised. Out of the three valley-view rooms allotted, one room had a strong urine odor. After reporting this to the front office manager, Mr. Salim, he promised an upgrade and shifted us to another valley-view room. Unfortunately, this room was far from the restaurant, bar, and other amenities. With no other option, we had to accept it. We reached the hotel at around 3:30 PM and, due to these room allocation issues, only got settled into our rooms by 7:30 PM, wasting precious time on the first day of our vacation. Hot Water Facility Issues: In the upgraded rooms, there was no hot water in one of them. After reporting the issue again to the manager, he assured us of compensation for the poor service and offered two complimentary spa treatments worth ₹9,000. Despite this, we had to shift rooms once more. Water Supply Problems: On the final day, there was no water supply in two of the rooms. We reported the issue, but by then, we had given up on expecting resolutions. Billing Issue: At the time of checkout, we inquired if there were any pending bills and were told there were none. However, while returning home, we received a call from the hotel staff informing us about a pending bill of ₹10,000. Despite attempting payment via the QR code shared by the staff, technical issues persisted. We kept trying different UPI apps but could only complete the payment by 7:30 PM after multiple calls from the hotel, which caused us significant inconvenience. Food Quality: The only satisfactory aspect of our stay was the food, which was good and met our expectations. Conclusion: Overall, the service we received from Sterling Ooty was far below expectations. While we appreciated the complimentary spa treatment, it does not justify the ₹1,08,000 we spent on this vacation. The management needs to take immediate corrective actions to address these issues and improve their service standards. Thank you.

I have been here with my family The view from the room was awesome. The room was clean. Service was so bad that they could not manage the guest. For in-room service we needed to call almost 5 times and wait for 30 to 40 minutes. Buffet breakfast have little good option but dinner not at all good veg and non veg both. The rooms and view are awesome. Check in and out very smooth. . Over all good experience.

I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Sterling Ooty - Fern Hill, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The resort’s location was breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our room was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from our balconies (yes, there were 3 !!) was simply stunning! One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious food at the resort’s restaurant. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The variety of options ensured there was something for everyone. The resort also offered a range of activities. Overall, our stay at was nothing short of amazing. The combination of excellent service, stunning surroundings, and great facilities made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sterling Fern. Food, rooms, and ambiance were very good. We had a blast and enjoyed a campfire session. We all danced together until we were completely exhausted. The only problem was that hot water was not always available. Room-wise we didn’t get a true 5-star experience.

The hotel has good views but Breakfast menu remained same the 3 days stay. |Breakfast and food is a very big disappointment. They don't serve kids food as well though they claim to be kids friendly hotel. Overall below average experience for the price that i paid. The kids play area is good.

Also for vegetarian food quality is not up to the mark in buffet breakfast and dinner. Vegetarian options are less. The rooms and view are awesome. Rest it is average.
