I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. It’s down buy the train tracks on the creek. Made for nice walks and there was an ice carving activity just across the street! It was great. The host was quite a gentleman.has a very handsome smile. Made me feel right at home. The breakfast was spot on! Very clean establishment! I look forward to staying there on my travels though.

I booked a vacation 3 months in advance. I get to the hotel and they told me my reservation for a king suite wasn’t available and basically told me it’s first come first serve and said it would be a day wait for what we paid for. So I travel to anchorage with a reservation and I don’t get what I want and asked if I wanted to downgrade to a queen from a king suite at the cost of what I reserved for(king suite). I assumed he was just downgrading my bed from a king to queen but no. The room was musty with no air running in and out of the room so it was very humid and felt like a hot car on a sunny day. There was mold on the ceilings. Stains all over the carpet. When you come to anchorage, don’t try to go around the more expensive hotels. There’s a reason this hotel is one of the cheapest, and it really shows, from service, location, and the room. It is directly under a bridge and had dumpsters in front of the hotel as soon as you drove in. When we went to park, there were cars that looked like they had been broken into. The people at the front desk were very confused on if a room was cleaned or not. I came back to the desk and payed my “one night” that I was charged for and left. However, the staff was not rude regarding us leaving and were very understanding. The manager was respectful. it just seemed like the people in the front weren’t trained. I do not recommend staying here.

Rooms are modern, somewhat clean, with wore carpet and paint peeling in bathroom but comfortable bed. Construction going on currently, which was a little noisy at check-in but ended later. Check-in was easy. Shuttle driver was very helpful and friendly. Shuttle will take you downtown to restaurants. This was one of my better stays in Anchorage.

Great location near the center of town. Rooms are comfortable, but need some improvements: the phone in our room did not work, the heat in the room was to intense ( difficult to regulate). The rooms are also not noise isolated, so you may hear partying and steps in the room above yours. Kudo for the breakfast: very good selection of pancakes, eggs, sausages, different juices, and continental breakfast options. The hotel pool was closed in early March when we stayed there. Hotel surroundings need some improvements, as garbage containers were overflowing with trash and dog feces.

The rooms do not appear to be very tidy, carpets have stains on them and even common area, you will find dirt and crumbs all over. Gentleman at the front desk during morning shift isn't very friendly and helpful but other staff members are completely in contracts and will try to accommodate all your needs. The shuttle driver is extremely friendly. I wish they maintain and keep the property clean but otherwise for a short stay , I would say it's a good hotel due to its convenient location

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the general cleanliness of the building was below expectations. There were crumbs and dirt scattered across the carpet in the main areas, which was my first concern. As I proceeded upstairs to my assigned room, I encountered a strong smell of marijuana in the hallway. This was concerning, but I decided to continue to the room in hopes that the situation would improve. Unfortunately, it did not. Upon entering the room, I discovered that the heat was not functioning properly. However, the most unpleasant issue was in the bathroom. There was human hair all around the bathtub, as if someone had shaved while soaking in the tub, then drained the water, leaving the hair stuck to the sides. At that point, my wife and I looked at each other and agreed that we would not be able to stay at the hotel based on its condition. We immediately gathered our things and went to the front desk to explain the situation. I spoke with a woman there, explained the issues, and informed her that we would be checking out right away to find accommodations elsewhere. She offered to have the room cleaned, but I politely declined, as we had already made the decision to leave. I then requested a refund, as we had only just checked in and spent less than five minutes in the room. However, I was told a refund could not be issued because I had already checked in. I explained my frustration, especially since we had not stayed a single night, and had left immediately due to the unacceptable conditions. Despite this, I am now being charged for an entire week, even though I did not stay at the property. This situation has been very upsetting and disappointing. I believe asking for a refund is a reasonable request given the circumstances, and I hope that management will take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests.

I understand this hotel changed hands a couple years ago, was renovated and it shows. Hotel was very nice and clean. Or only caveat is the mattress was way too soft/or worn out. Needs replacing. I say that because we stayed at La Quinta Wyndham Fairbanks and their beds were nice and medium/firm. But their hotel was not up to your standards.

Tiffany at the front desk made my stay 5 stars. Definitely an asset to your hotel! The other gal Jay was great too!. All housekeepers were amazing as well. Nice hotel. You'll get that full Alaskan experience and the location is location down town literally right down the hill downtown by the port of Anchorage and next to ship creek
