Highliner Hotel

What a wonderful property! We loved the convenience store and coffee shop right in the lobby. The room was very clean and comfortable and looked exactly like the pics online. The staff was really helpful and responsive, parking was easy and convenient, and the location was perfect for walking to any of the shops and restaurants in downtown Anchorage. We look forward to staying at the Highliner again!

Great location walkable to everything downtown. Clean, affordable, & comfortable room. Great staff & easy check-in/check-out system. Good communication before, during, & after stay. I hope to be back to Alaska & this will be hotel of choice in Anchorage. Highly recommend this establishment!

Easy no hassle booking and check-in process. Rustic, but comfortable, quiet, and clean. Enjoyed the fast internet and smart TVs, as well as having a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for convenience in the rooms. Parking was free in their parking lot. The cameras and staff on call for emergencies made it feel safe at night. The lobby has fantastic baked goods and coffee, as well as helpful, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

A great clean place for one or two nights. Thick comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows. I reserved the first floor, however, the view is of a fence dividing the property. Recommend the second floor. Small flight of stairs to the second and down to the first floor. Pleasant staff with coffee and breakfast sandwiches they can heat up (7-7) Heating is centrally controlled, they do have a space heater if you need it.

This hotel has a retro vibe that I liked. Everything was clean, inside the room and out. The bed was very comfortable but I am not a fan of the soft pillows with little filling. I wouldn't count on the small desk for a full day's work, but for my photo editing, it did just fine. The bathroom was as clean as the rest of the place. The product was good quality (thought I'm a guy and I don't care much). For me, this was a good location. I wanted something walkable and to me it fit the bill, but I don't mind a half mile walk.

This was a cool little self-serve hotel (kinda like an air bnb.) The room we had was small, but we'll appointed, clean, comfy, and decorated nicely. No A/C, and the only window was to the hallway, but it was ok.

I stayed there a couple of month ago. It was perfect. I just needed one room to rest after a long flight. The price was reasonable if you compare with all the other hotels in anchorage. The room was smaller than i thought but it was very clean and lovely. There are microwave, refri and heater in the room. I decided to stay one more night and when i emailed them, they immediately made my reservation and try to not move me from my room. The most perfect thing they have is that you don't have to do check in or anything. You just enter the pin they send you to enter to the hotel and the room. I would stay there if I visit anchorage again.

We came for a convention at the De'nai Center. Perfect walking distance. A great parking lot. Rooms were exceptional, clean, new & spacious. This is an old building with new owners. They have put huge amounts of work and thought into making this hotel comfortable. There is some visible "old" to the building, this is Alaska, enjoy the history! The coffee shop was a cherry on top. Although coffee was in our room, it was not the expresso some of us crave! 7 AM & someone was ready to make you delicious coffee. Hands down an excellent experience and will return for overnight stays in Anchorage. We spent 4 nights. Staff and owners were active & available during office hours.
