NillWhen it comes to affordable, this is your place. The downsides would be how hard it was to find parking since it shares with Benihana. You either need to do a few laps to wait for someone to leave, or park far away. It did not feel safe walking that far with the intoxicated unhoused hanging around outside. The bed was so uncomfortable and hard that it took my husband and I two hours before we weren't so stiff and sore. I spent most of my first morning finding a different hotel but decided against it due to not being able to check in until later in the day and have our stuff in the car. We contemplated buying a mattress topper. The morning of check out there was zero hot water for my shower, it was more cold than warm. When you first turn the sink water on, it would come out brown. During check in we stood there for a while, and were calling out hello to try and find someone. I will definitely not stay here again. Again, it was affordable, clean, and in a convenient area to get around town, so if the rest is not a concern for you then this is your place.

Nill3rd stay and everything was perfect, again. This hotel is located Downtown Anchorage in the Benihana parking lot. Free and close parking, friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed and hot water on demand. These rooms are SPACIOUS as well. A door divides the living room and bedroom, essentially giving you 2 rooms. Typical hotel breakfast is served between 6a-9a. The price is excellent for the space and service. Thank you!

NillI was so relieved when i got here.the staff were awesome, super friendly!! I had to leave my other hotel because it was sooo bad. It was my kids' first time in Alaska, and I was so discouraged because I wanted them to have the best time. The clarion was an amazing upgrade!!! I am sooo relieved now and can relax and enjoy this trip.

★Great breakfast, the first two mornings there was no bakery items too toast but the last four mornings there was; scrambled eggs were lovely and fluffy and lovely crispy bacon, this was the only good thing. |I was there six days on arrival the front desk let you know that cleaning is only every third day; on the third morning of my stay no cleaning... so I decided to see if they did clean or if you need to ask for your room to be cleaned, on my last day still no cleaner, there were two full bins (over following), no clean towels, no tea or coffee left or drinking cups in the room; there is also no jug for boiling water for tea only an old microwave oven.|I was on the ground floor looking over 9th Avenue, the road noise was loud and horrible and on the Saturday the noise/music from the park was loud could not get any sleep due to all this noise which also included the loud stomping noise from the floor above which sounded like a herd of elephants walking in the room above mine.|The carpets looked like they were not clean this was due to wear from the carpet being old.

★★★★★The staff, especially Angela is so kind and amazing. The room was very clean and breakfast was great (a great selection of good including eggs, potatoes, coffee and bread). On another note the pillows were the best! I could also see staff going above and beyond cleaning up and making the parking lot nice.

NillThe location was convenient and close to the city center. However, I did not sleep well during my two-night stay due to disturbances from neighboring guests fighting all night. Although I contacted the front desk multiple times regarding the noise, and they claimed to have addressed the issue, the problem persisted. Unfortunately, they did not offer a room change or any other solution. To make matters worse, my credit card was charged nine times upon checkout, and I am currently disputing the charges. The website says pool, but it is not open and hasn't been open for years. The room itself was nice, and the beds were comfortable.

★★★★The hotel is decent for the price and it's in close proximity to a lot of restaruants and shopping. The staff were friendly and attentive, particularly Angela, who helped me get my checkout and housekeeping issues sorted. She always made time for friendly conversation and seemed to truly care about the comfort of the guests.

★★★★The pillows are incredible at this hotel. It’s close enough to downtown you can walk to everything and the front desk was amazing. Angela specifically! She went above and beyond, with a smile on her face and was always very helpful. I also received great recommendations on where to eat and what to see, which isn’t something they had to do but they did anyways.
