Aloft Anchorage

True to form Aloft is a clean modern hotel. It was pretty busy when I checked in. If you've stayed at an Aloft you know the standard. Room was clean. But...this time the bed was super hard. I am booked here for 7 days for work and thinking about changing hotels. Going to see if they have another room first. Everything else is nice.

We book this hotel simply for the pool, we love the design and that its toddler friendly. But this is the third time the pool is unavailable for more than half our stay. No compensation given upon complaints. Only booked for the pool honestly.

I had the pleasure of being served by Melody (one of the employees) during my recent stay, and I can honestly say she made our experience amazing! My mom is currently in a wheelchair, and Melody went above and beyond to ensure her comfort during breakfast hour. Not only was Melody incredibly kind and attentive, but she also took the time to help my mom navigate the breakfast area with ease. She brought over everything we needed without us having to ask and made sure my mom had everything she needed to enjoy this hotel experience. Her thoughtful assistance and warm demeanor truly made a difference, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about providing excellent service. Melody's attention to detail, coupled with her friendly and caring attitude, made our morning so much smoother and more enjoyable. It's rare to find someone who is so attentive and compassionate, and we truly appreciated her help. A huge thank you to Melody for making our stay even better! Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you need any extra assistance.

Very modern and clean. The location is near restaurants and corporations. No free breakfast is offered. The service is great also. The rooms are modernly designed and very spacious. Being relatively new, the furniture did not have stains as well as the carpet. I did not use the gym during my 4 day stay.

The rooms layout for both King and Queen rooms were very small and tight . Restrooms not having doors were very uncomfortable especially for the kids to take a shower or even use the restroom ..||Compared to other hotels they have a little bit more space for the price that they are… But here rooms Were super small and very pricey… ||Pool was the best part as the kids were able to enjoy it… ||Refuel area had a small variety of foods and snacks and prices as well were a bit high… Had ordered cinnamon rolls, came out massive and nicely made BUT was super cold inside and too sweet with the additional syrup ontop … ||Would really be great if they had a breakfast buffet included … |||Overall my family and I rate Aloft hotel at a 5 out of 10. ||Customer service was great! Jst wish rooms had extra space in and breakfast buffet included …

It's a fine hotel for its brand. The staff is quite good (Tio was great--she deserves an award for being so helpful). My one big concern is that whoever designed the hotel was not thinking of people who might want to work in their rooms. There is a sort of table next to a couch that I guess you are supposed to work on. But there is no plug within six feet of the table or couch. So you are forced to work on the bed if you need power. Maybe the goal is to get people to go downstairs to use the bar area. But again, power ports are missing in many places. I am guessing this hotel was designed for tourists who don't need to work in their rooms despite the fact that there are many office buildings nearby.

Hotel is very modern clean and a lot of amenities for an inexpensive price. The foot traffic at night was a little odd, but the facility had good security, including locked exterior doors. The room was a little noisy. Seems like a building as new as this would have better insulating walls.

No need to be a Marriott member to stay. They give you water a some chips, but they put you next to the gas station on a low floor next to the elevator. I should have stayed at another Marriott or a Hilton. They seem to recognize their members much better. Thanks for not even trying to give me a different room for when I asked. Not even a look. I will be traveling here for work, but will not stay here in the future. It is also super loud.
