SpringHill Suites Anchorage Midtown

Live out of town, had a surgery scheduled for the next day and weather and roads were supposed to get bad. I booked online at the last minute. The website was easy to use. Hotel is in a convenient location in mid-town Anchorage. The front desk staff was amazing and helpful. A gentleman named Roman and the lady that checked us in (did not get her name) were fantastic. Both were very courteous, kind, and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and affordable.

Room 213 on second floor overlooking the car park at the back. Large suite decorated in shades of brown. Wet bar with fridge and microwave. Sofa, desk and chair, comfortable bed, small open wardrobe. Bathroom with shower and separate washbasin.|WiFi very good. No housekeeping services (every two days they offer a refreshment service).|Breakfast included, but not great: scrambled egg, turkey sausage and toast plus yogurt and cereals, all served on disposables.

The lighting in the room was terrible. No brighter lights at all. Even over the sink to put makeup on, very dim. The main overhead light didn’t work at all. We had to ask to get the room cleaned and towels exchanged. Our trash was piling up. The beds are ok. The breakfast was very bland, not a lot of choices. My next visit I will not be staying here. There was no heat coming from the heater. It was constant cold air.

I stayed here with my husband and children during the high school wrestling State Championships. The hotel is only a few minutes' drive from the Alaska Airlines Center. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly and welcoming. There was a minor mix-up with my reservation, and the manager fixed it right away. Parking was convenient. Will definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed one night after a late flight before traveling back home. We stayed here before without any complaints, but this time was vastly different. We went promptly to bed, but woke in the morning to horrible discoveries. Pros- General Manager and front desk attendant were friendly and easy to work with. Hot shower, good water pressure, bath tub drained and didn’t fill up with water when showering. My boys enjoyed the waffles for breakfast. Cons- Heating vent cover was removed and sitting next to the unit which blew cool air all night despite turning the heat up. Food splatter was visible on almost every wall. Bedding on one bed was soiled. Bathroom door handle was broken, blood splatter and smear on bathroom wall and door. Warped and filthy desk top and counters. Food and other debris all over the couch and floor, not just in our room but the floors in the hotel hallway. The end of the hallway on the first floor smelled of urine. It’s unfortunate we can’t upload the photos on this review. Despite the kind manager who made our stay right by refunding us, we will never stay at this location again.

Very clean room! The pool was nice and warm and the jacuzzi was just the right HOT temperature! The breakfast was spot on! Friendly staff and we felt safe with the secured front entrance. Great location! We will definitely be returning soon!

Very nice location, overall clean room, very comfortable and enjoyable room. Breakfast was phenomenal as well. Would definitely stay here again.
