Hyatt House Anchorage

Excellent Hyatt House. |Previously I've stayed at the Hyatt House at the Wharf in Washington, DC, and that was not a great experience, the room was poorly designed and they lacked amenities I needed like a simple umbrella on a rainy day. |BUT, the Hyatt House Anchorage was really great. Clean and efficient check-in upon arrival, easily got to our room. |Facilities were easy to use including spacious closet space and bathroom/shower. The only downside was that wifi was slightly slow and not as efficient for my work tasks. But otherwise I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place for a visit to Anchorage. ||My room was also itself very spacious, including a mini kitchen, living area, and a "bedroom" space separated from the living space by a shelf and TV. ||Fantastic reception staff, very friendly, efficient, and helpful. |Would recommend Hyatt House Anchorage for future stays. Not all Hyatt Houses are the same so I'm only speaking well of the Anchorage location in this review.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy being surrounded in a peaceful environment, 24/7 cleanliness throughout the entire hotel, a variety of complimentary breakfast choices, free parking and wi-fi and the use of dedicated computer/printer area, outdoor grilling area for use, limited bar/lounge service without being disappointed, pool and fitness center amenities, or that you don't mind waiting to do your own laundry. There are many different types of rooms to fit your needs, and is staffed 24/7.

Great hotel. Everything is well maintained and clean. The breakfast was ok, with the exception of the scrambled eggs. You could tell they were powered eggs. They tasted like rubber. Other than that our stay was great. I loved the room size and the full kitchen.

I’ve stayed in a few Hyatt Houses and this one feels a little run down. Or at least the room I stayed in. It just seemed to have a lot of deferred maintenance and sloppy repairs. Also, there was a kitchenette but it was missing essential items like knives, something to wash dishes, etc. The nonstick pan was so beat up that I actually bought a new one. This place could be nice but the rooms need a little attention.

Great place to stay in Anchorage with amazing helpful staff. Clean rooms, good breakfast selection, staff is friendly, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. They helped locate my Hyatt account information, brought some extra coffee to the room, answered area specific questions and helped make my stay very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing. I love Hyatt hotels but this specific one is genuinely the best. To start off every person on staff during our stay went above and beyond for us. I was with Archie-my service dog and we were given a quiet building room. Breakfast had all kinds of choices each day. Beautiful lobby and plenty of places to relax! Our suite was great, kitchenette, table, sofa and TV, with a comfortable bed! Its close to the airport and only about 15 min walk to nearest bus stop. I am very happy with our stay!

My company booked a 2 week stay for our employee. They were unable to check in smoothly due to not having the correct payment on file. They called late at night to request someone to come physically provide payment, despite it being a weekend and after business hours when this is not possible. They had the correct email on file for the staff member to get the payment information from and stated they would contact them. Four days later they told our staff they could not get a key back until payment was received and that they had been calling and calling but not getting information. They listed my own personal cell phone number back which had not been called once. I again relayed they were to contact our travel department during business hours. Yet, they were addressing this issue late in the evening when nothing can be done. I was told that the hotel would not contact my business as it was "your responsibility to provide payment." I requested for the form needed to be emailed, I was told I needed to go find it myself. I asked if our travel staff could call to re-provide the credit card number on the phone, and was told this could not be done. The whole experience has been ridiculous.

I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. We stayed here on our arrival to Anchorage and also the night before we flew out.| Just want to mention, we had dinner at Moose's Tooth pub and pizzeria and Glacier brewhouse which we recommend also. |It was a bonus to have a breakfast in the morning.Our room was spacious, modern and clean. |All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly especially at the front desk. We would definitely stay here again on hopefully our next visit to beautiful Alaska.
