Wyndham Garden Anchorage Airport

Overall a great stay with a big room and good service. I loved the fact that the shuttle came to pick me up at the airport only a few minutes after I called the hotel. The van came for me only and it wasn't booked in advance, so I was very pleased. There is a great seafood restaurant next to the hotel. The only negative thing is the free breakfast : the pancake machine is nice, but the meat and eggs are awful, it's not real food. I hope they will improve it. Still a good experience and I would stay there again.

We stayed here on our first night in Alaska and our last before heading out. The location to the airport is great and you couldn't ask for a better closer location. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was your usual HIE fare. As other reviews have noted, the hot water takes some time to get going for some reason but once it did we had no issues. We would stay here again next time we are in Anchorage.

We checked in a bit before scheduled check in time and had to wait around 30 minutes for the room to be ready. The gentleman who assisted us at the front desk (did not catch his name) was very friendly. Nice king bedded room at the end of the hall on 2nd floor. Breakfast was just so-so. Only 1 toaster that held two slices. Both days the crowd was a bit much for the amount of people and the set up. (We stayed 2 nights) Did like the make your own pancake machine. That would have been the highlight of breakfast. We had a car rental, so did not use the hotel shuttle, but know a lot of people did. Very expensive for and so-so airport hotel. Again , knowing it is Alaska in the summer.

We stayed here three nights in June before taking the train to Denali. We enjoyed our stay. The staff is awesome and gave suggestions on places to go/see/dine in the area. We didn't use the shuttle, but others seemed to be pleased with that service. ||The breakfast was ok (normal hotel breakfast food). We also used the laundry room and the pool and found them both to be clean. ||We would stay here again on a future trip to Anchorage.

The sheets were very soft, bed firm. Room with 2;comfortable chairs. Quiet. Like airport pickup and drop off. No cinnamon buns for breakfast. Coffee good. Gym did not have a bike with a back support. Staff was all Alaskan Native American. Very nice, hard working. About a $13 Uber ride to downtown to shop, eat or take train. You can walk to car rental place if you need a car.

Plus side;|The hotel had nice vibe when we arrived - nice reception area with some interesting "Alaskan" decor.|Our room was on Level 1, which was effectively a basement room as our window looked out onto a retaining wall.|Breakfasts were a step above the usual hotel fare, with yummy warm cinnamon rolls on offer.|Airport and train station shuttle good.|Minus side:|However, beyond the Reception area, the place was showing signs of lack of maintenance. As we left, I gave the Reception desk a written list of things that needed attention in our room, including:|. Carpet wet under air con unit |. Cabinet door over refrigerator off on one hinge|. Bath spout coming off wall|. Ironing board is broken and doesn't stay up |Etc

Decor is a little dated but everything was very clean. Everyone was helpful.|When I left my phone in the room, they retrieved it and held it for two days for me. They responded to a wellfare check from my sister by explaining they had my phone and I promised to return for it in two days. That is above and beyond.|Great place will stay there again.

Two bed room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Generally things were clean. Overall though the place was dark. The room felt dark, the hallway, the lobby, and the breakfast room. |The neighborhood was sketchy as well. Overall good value.
