★★★★★Our 8 day stay at the Fort Seward Condos was a charming experience, feeling like a step back in time to a day when life was lived fully, but at a slower pace. The old Fort complex is beautiful and spacious with breathtaking views of the Lynn Canal, the Fort Parade Grounds and surrounding buildings. Locals and visitors can be seen out for walks and bike rides, the ferries and cruise ships quietly pass by with a backdrop of lovely mountains or scudding grey clouds, depending on the weather. Our condo was a vintage delight, complete with a well-provisioned kitchen that allowed me to cook to my heart’s content. A blender, toaster, cookware, bakeware, measuring utensils, graters, it was all there. The owners are charming and helpful, a great source of local knowledge, stories and Alaskan hospitality and warmth. One of the local bears left its calling card of scat outside the front door, a reminder to look about and enjoy the wildness still available to one in this place. Haines is a nice little community with more to it than one might think at first glance. Bicycle and outdoor stores, art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants, outdoor hiking and biking and friendly people make Haines a nice place to slow down for a bit and enjoy Alaska. The Condos was a wonderful place to stay to get to enjoy Haines…. it was hard to leave.

★★★★★In early June 2018 we spent three days at Haines in Fort Seward Condo. Annette and Sam were welcoming and helpful. The Condo sits high up offering a beautiful view of the surrounding historical buildings and waterway. The accommodation is spacious and provides all the needs of a home away from home. It has the charm of another time and is peaceful and relaxing which is very welcome after the business of large cruise ship ports. The Condo is walking distance to the main part of town and there are several restaurants in close proximity to dine at. We loved our stay in Haines.

★★★★★The view from Fort Seward is spectacular! The location is very convenient to downtown and most tourist attractions, although it helps to have a vehicle if you want to visit the surrounding areas for hiking or kayaking. Our condo was very comfortable, with a cozy interior and well-stocked kitchen. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Haines.

NillI stayed at the condos in August 2018 with my sister and friends! My sister and friends come every year and love it! I saw why, the condo was spacious, clean, comfortable and anything that we needed or questions we had- Annette was quick to answer/ help. There is an “back in the day” ambiance, and even a VHS with movies! I can’t wait until my next trip to Alaska-I would stay there again no question!!! Thanks for everything Annette.

★★★★★We loved our month in Haines at the Fort Seward Condos. We never tired of the amazing views from the front porch. Annette and Sam are wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing their family history. Highly recommended for a long term stay and we look forward to our return!

★★★★★Family members come to Haines often and always stay here. But this was my first visit and I have just been blown away. Annette and her entire family have been so welcoming and friendly. The house is knee deep in local art and history. Rangy, clean and cozy and filled with comfy beds, comfy chairs and gorgeous views. I slept every night beside an open window and gorged myself on the clean, cool air. Woke every morning for coffee on the wide front porch and gazing at the sea and the ferries and fishing boats coming in and going out. Watching the weather over Santa Claus mountain. Within healthy walking distance of downtown and easy walking distance to an excellent coffee shop and small grocery.

★★★★★Our first visit to Ft. Seward was on June 2010, we then fell in love with Haines and therefore checked the condos for our next visit. On August 2013 we stayed in Ft. Seward Condos for 3 weeks and this summer on August 2015 we'll spend there a full month.||We stayed in apartment #2 which includes a specious bedroom + a very comfortable leaving room + a full equiped kitchen. The location is great and the view from the windows as well as from the relaxing porch is wonderful.||Above all is Annette, the owner of this amazing property. She is very helpful not only in this apartment but also in all issues regarding Hines. Thanks to Annette we socialized with her other guests and became friends with some of them. She made our stay unforgetable.

★★★★★Breathtaking doesn't quite say enough about the view from these rentals in the gem of a town, Haines. Sitting on the porch enjoying the snowcapped mountains reflecting the afternoon sun while the kids played on the lawn was beyond perfection. The location just outside the center of town (a beautiful and convenient walk to restaurants, a market, and a fantastic library) is great. We were traveling with our two young children, and the condo was wonderful. It had everything we needed, including washer and dryer, free wi-fi, stocked kitchen, and even a pack-and-play bed for the baby! The managers live on-site and were ready and able to help with anything we needed (including recommending a great babysitter.) This is a fantastic place to stay in a really adorable town. I still dream about the smoked salmon and dill pasta from Fireweed Restaurant next door. And if you want to take a piece of Alaska home with you, don't leave without some beautiful handcrafted native art from the SeaWolf art gallery at the bottom of the hill, or some smoked halibut from Dejon Delights.
