Urban Boutique Hotel

Before booking this hotel I had read a reviewer state that it was an "European style" hotel. That is spot on. You will not get the free breakfast, the fanciest room, or valet. What you will get is a modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff, a clean, comfortable room at a phenomenal rate. Oh! And it's a dog- friendly hotel! There is limited (like 10 spaces) street parking in front but check when street cleaning is. The location is in beautiful Little Italy where there is plenty to do. So yes, I definitely enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

This is a fantastic option for the no-frills traveler who is simply looking for a clean, quiet room in a great location! Just a stones throw from dozens of great restaurants, cafes and bars, and centrally located for access to transit and all points outside of the city, this hotel can’t be beat. We had room 210. The room looked out on an alley, so the view was really nothing. Also, the hot and cold on the shower handle was backwards. The room was cleaned every other day or so, not every day. Other than that (minor things) for the value, this was a fantastic home base for our trip to San Diego. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

It is always a pleasure to stay at Urban Boutique. The front desk managers are always very welcoming and amiable. The rooms are always clean, with the amenities mentioned, and it is very peaceful. It is close to the train station, many restaurants, bars, a church, and markets. I love that I can park and leave my car in a safe place ($25 per night). I always stay here when I come down to San Diego and I always leave satisfied.

Excellent location. Amazing restaurants just steps away. Smack in the middle of little Italy. Hotel is very reasonable and even though it’s very basic- rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Loved my stay here. Must eat in civico and morning glory and enjoy the farmers market

This hotel was affordable and clean. The staff was friendly and very welcoming.. It was a great location, walkable to little Italy’s restaurants and shops and. quiet at night…this was all around excellent experience. We’ll check into this hotel on our future visits to San Diego. Thank you so much for a great visit!

Great location and service. Front desk very attentive. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Would stay again. San diego is a beautiful spot and the boutique hotel just added to the good time. The seafood around here is amazing. The hotel has good access with elevator.

Don't even bother! SCAM!!! BE AWARE!!! They only got 1 star because -5 was not an option. I had my room booked for 8 months and when the time came I called to confirm and was told there was an "issue"... since I booked through a 3rd party and they didn't have the proper rates for this time yet, they could not honor the rate that I had already been charged. I contemplated still staying since it was a great location and we had our whole weekend planned around this location, then when I asked about parking I was told by Manny on the phone at their front desk that it was 3 blocks away and would be $25 a night (nowhere was this disclosed) and to just come to the front of the hotel and they would direct us where to go. I now see that the owner responds with parking only being 1.5 blocks away...I believe the guests over someone trying to say what they feel necessary to keep business. I called the 3rd party to try and straighten things out and when they called the hotel the lady Mia I believe they said her name was said that my stay would now be over $300 for the 2 nights!!!! Holy what! How does it go up from a discounted rate (mind you that was still 10x what I booked it for) and an upgrade for the Agoda mess up to paying more than full price and then some!! This place is RIDICULOUS...they had all of my information so why when they saw the "mess up" would they not try to contact me! Had I not called to confirm myself I would have known NONE of this until it was too late!!! Very very unprofessional and hope they get caught running this scam every time!!! I have booked other properties through Agoda for amazing rates and have had NO problems...

This has been my second time staying at this hotel because I enjoyed the location and the staff. Manny in the reception was amazing! He offered to help with my luggage and has amazing manners making sure you enjoy your stay. The room we got was quite spacious and clean. Thank you so much Manny!
