Hotel Z - A Staypineapple Hotel

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Z in San Diego! The hotel is vibrant, with a fun and energetic atmosphere, and it’s perfectly located close to many of San Diego’s attractions. The hotel is extremely dog-friendly—traveling with our three large dogs was a breeze. They even welcomed us with a goodie bag for each dog, comfy beds, and a personal touch with their names written on the welcome board, along with 'pup cups' for treats! Plus, the welcome drinks were a great touch to kick off our stay. We also loved the complimentary bikes, which allowed us to explore the city in a unique and fun way. Highly recommend Hotel Z and will definitely stay again!

Great hotel , everyone was very friendly… amazing location, rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and the pineapples , they have coffee and cookies in the afternoon at the lobby. They give you a free drink upon arrival. I would definitely stay here or look to stay at their other locations nationwide. Highly recommend. They have bikes for you to use free , so me and my husband got to explore the city which was a plus. Stay pineapple

Our stay was amazing!! We stayed in the suite. The beds were so comfortable and had the best bedding!! The location is prime and walking distance to so many amazing places. The staff really made the stay great for us. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall, our experience at Hotel Z was exceptional. While we encountered a minor issue, it did not overshadow the positive aspects of our stay. The room was meticulously clean, with a comfortable bed and ample furnishings. The shower provided ample hot water, ensuring a relaxing experience. We found no other significant complaints. However, we must acknowledge the absence of parking at the hotel. This is a common issue in the area, and it would have been beneficial if the hotel had provided a clear and conspicuous disclosure on its website. This information would have influenced our decision to rent a car during our stay. Despite this minor inconvenience, we highly recommend Hotel Z and Stay Pineapple. We plan to return for future stays and hope to experience the hotel’s amenities once again.

All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We came here for my partner’s birthday and they came in to make the room nice, wrote a cute note, and gave us additional coasters to redeem at the front. The beds were super comfortable and clean. Although we can hear people through the other walls, it wasn’t too bad. Definitely coming back here next time because of how close it is to the Gas lamp Quarter and food&bars.

I'm shocked that this place has anything less than 5 stars. Maybe I just view things differently, and value things differently. Let me tell you about the best hotel stay I've ever had. Let me tell you about Hotel Z. First off, Aaron and his coworkers and concierge team are absolutely fantastic. We have 6 Siberian Huskies, and we were accommodated beyond anything we could have asked for. the hotel provided us with bowls, treats, and anything else we needed to help make this stay as inviting and welcoming as possible. The beds are absolutely phenomenal, and with the guest purchase program, I am able to get one of the beds delivered to my house for a huge discount, and these beds aren't available retail. The entire booking, and checkout process was simple, and the amenities fees are totally reasonable for what is being offered. We were sure to pick up our Dasher, the mascot plushy. The cause is amazing and we absolutely support it. This is not just a dog friendly hotel, it is dog encouraging. The potty bags provided are awesome. thanks for everything Hotel Z. We really appreciate it.

Great place to stay in the Gaslamp! So many fun little amenities, and the people make sure you feel special. We stayed there for my wife's birthday and they made us feel special with a little something in the room. This was after a quick room mix-up, so I don't know if it's a standard thing they do, but it was very appreciated!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Perfectly located, the rooms are big and the bed is super comfy. Reception was extremely friendly and helpful, travelling alone I felt super safe and well cared for. I enjoyed the amenities, like the free water bottle that you could refill in the lobby and the bike rental that I used to the fullest :) Overall I have seen worse 4 star hotels than this nice, clean, spacious and comfortable 3 star hotel, highly recommend and will return when traveling to the US!!
