I loved my stay here. The staff/front desk was wonderful. The hotel as well as my room were beautiful and spacious. I couldn't ask for anything better. I loved how they have a pool and gym as well as an outside bar. There were a lot of restaurants that were walkable distance. Parking was $50/day.

What a beautiful hotel is a great location. Right in the bay, next to the convention center and within walking distance to so much! The staff were excellent and friendly, everyone we interacted with was lovely. The view of the bay from our room was breathtaking. So grateful to have been able to spend time at this hotel. It was so refreshing and relaxing.

The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is a great hotel, especially if you’re attending an event at the Convention Center. It’s the closest option you’ll find—just exit through Hall A, turn left, and within a minute, you’re at the hotel entrance. The convenience factor is unbeatable. That being said, the price doesn’t quite match the hotel itself. It’s not a luxury hotel for what you’re paying—there are other hotels at this price point that offer a much more high-end experience. Here, you’re mainly paying for the location rather than the hotel’s amenities. The rooms are fine, nothing extraordinary, but if you get a Bay View, it’s definitely a nice touch. Waking up to the view of the bay, boats, and the marina makes for a great start to the day. There’s also a buffet downstairs—it costs around $40–$45 per person. Overall, it’s a great stay if your priority is being close to the Convention Center. If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience for the same price, you might want to explore other options.

Had a great stay at the Marriott in the Bay Area of San Diego. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was polite and welcoming. The only downside was the breakfast, which was underwhelming and could have had better quality and variety. Otherwise, a solid experience, and I’d consider staying here again.

If you don't like staying in convention hotels, you will hate this hotel. The whole time we were there huge conventions were going on. On the other hand it's a very nice hotel in a great location with great views. Although they charge a resort fee, they provide a lot of free stuff to counteract the charges (happy hour, kayaks, bikes, $15 per day, internet). Service was always outstanding, especially given that we had a leak from the floor above in the bathroom, the elevators wouldn't stop at the lobby and the keys wouldn't work to get us out of self parking. Because of the latter they provided free parking for us for the entire stay, about $180 worth. Note: valet parking is $65, self parking (which doesn't work) $45. Service by everyone was always provided with a smile. Note, that if you have access to the M Lounge there is no food provided on the weekends. Breakfast there was pretty disappointing, lots of carbs, scrambled eggs and bacon and fruit. Nothing else. Also, drinks cost and you can't use your $15 credit there, which, by the way, is not written anywhere. There is a happy hour with two free glasses of wine per room, which is nice. I am Titanium and we were upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. I had told them we were celebrating birthdays, but they didn't provide anything. Oh well. Also, Roy's a restaurant attached to the hotel, but not affiliated with them, is excellent with lovely views.

Beautiful place and would stay here again. The north tower balcony room is what I’d recommend getting. View is gorgeous, nice to sit out and relax. The bed was super comfortable, space was roomy, and room was updated. They had a lot of amenities, 2 pools/hot tub and a splash pad. Outside by the marina there’s a bike rental you can use via scanning the barcode. Only cons would be parking as it was kind of limited. Also both mornings I was there a ship was blaring their horn every 2-5 minutes coming into the bay. At 9am one morning and maybe 6am the next. It was cool the first time but the second time around not so much. (Uncontrollable I know)

Stayed in room 2345 floor with a waterfront view. The hotel was very quiet except for the marathon they had start very early on the Monday at 6am or so. Hotel check in was excellent, the lady at reception was very kind. She had offered me a suite with 2 floors but it had a Murphy bed so I declined. I had asked for room service but no one showed up which is why I gave it a 4 stars. Great location, so close to the airport.

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on vacation. This hotel has great amenities in a great location on the marina and is close to lots of shopping and dining. The lobby and common areas were nice, and the outdoor areas and pool area are nice and spacious. Rooms were a good size for being located in a city. No issues with room cleanliness or service. I highly recommend this hotel for touring San Diego.
