NillWe stayed here for a weekend in celebration of my husband’s birthday. I can’t say enough about the kind staff. The valet was prompt, checkin was smooth (we were upgraded & offered late checkout without even asking). The lobby is beautiful. The bar service, drinks, and food were all excellent. The suite was elegant & clean with a beautiful city view. We had a couples massage in the spa that was top notch. We definitely plan on coming back to this hotel. It’s a fabulous bang for your buck! ✨

★★★★★We truly appreciate Marriott and have had such a positive experience during our time here. With the recent fires in LA and the unexpected Georgia snowstorm, we chose to extend our stay in Atlanta. The Whitley went above and beyond by upgrading us to a lovely suite on the 15th floor, which really brightened our spirits. The breakfast buffet was beautifully arranged, and I must say, the grits were simply delightful—reminded me of my time living in Atlanta.||What touched us the most, however, was the kindness of the staff. They took the time to share their favorite Marriott properties for vacations, which felt so genuine and warm during such a trying time. It’s heartening to see how dedicated the restaurant staff were, working tirelessly through the storm while maintaining such graciousness. We are truly grateful for their efforts in lifting our spirits during this challenging period. Thank you so much for making our experience memorable and uplifting.

NillThe Whitley is an extremely refined hotel that offers impeccable service from staff that is clearly caring and engaged in the welfare of guests. Beds were comfortable, facilities were pleasant, and the noise level was acceptable. The Whitley also presents impressive value relative to services rendered. I highly recommend it for those staying in the Buckhead area. We stayed at the Whitley for an anniversary "stay-cation." Our room with a king-sized bed was very spacious and pleasantly decorated. The bed was particularly comfortable, with especially high-quality pillows and sheets. It was a little noisy, due to the fact that there was an adjoining door to the room next door. There was also a certain amount of noise from the exterior hall. The bathroom had excellent amenities and a very fine shower, with good water pressure and the added benefit of a shower wand. The common areas of the hotel are very nicely decorated. We found lots of charming places to sit and talk, enjoy a coffee, or wait for our car. The overall decor is very light and airy, with fun contemporary art that still manages the suit the fine setting. On this trip we utilized the pool and the hot tub, both of which were excellent. We also had a fantastic time at the spa. We did not get the chance to dine yet.

NillI was looking forward to staying at this hotel for a recent work trip. The check in and valet staff were very friendly and helpful however as the night progressed my high expectations of this 5 star hotel drastically dropped. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. After leaving my room, my key didn't work when I tried to re-enter. They reset my key but it still didn't work. I was told the door lock battery may have died. They did come to change the battery within 5 minutes but eventtime I left my room I had to get the key reset to re-enter. Like I mentioned before, I came here for a work conference and being vegan with a gluten allergy, my company notified the hotel of my dietary restrictions in advance. They put in little to no effort to accommodate my dietary needs. At meal times, I was offered a salad with ranch dressing. I explained that i was vegan with a gluten allergy to the staff and they seemed confused as to what that meant. The chef told the staff to inquire what I usually eat. I find that surprising and Unacceptable for a 5 start hotel chef that had prior notice to not be educated nor prepared. I gave a few suggestions and It took about 30 minutes or more for them to throw something together with tofu and basically raw vegetables. When asked how I liked the barely touched dish, I expressed that I didn't like it and would prefer no tofu but was basically served the same dish plated a different way for three day duration of my stay. I was brought fresh fruit upon request which was pretty good but I was left hungry all day and had to resort to ordering door dash every day from close by restaurants with vegan options. My overall experience was very underwhelming and disappointing. For a 5 star hotel in such a major city as Atlanta, I expected better.

NillThe hotel is only OK. I don't know how it is considered a 5 star hotel. Building and rooms are nice. Most staff were nice, but room service was not helpful at all. The spa was OK but very small. The gym was fine. Both the pool and hot tub were freezing

NillWe stayed at the Whitley for a wedding weekend that happened to coincide with our own wedding anniversary. By sheer happenstance, we were staying in the hotel at the same time as a VIP government official who came with serious security detail. We initially brushed it off as the price of staying at a hotel with a Ritz reputation, but our experience was anything but. Sure, the hotel can't be blamed for the overwhelming military roadblocks and airport-like security, but they did the bare minimum to accommodate existing guests who, for safety reasons, had no advance warning. We ended up cancelling everything we'd planned to celebrate our own anniversary, to budget extra time and ensure our presence at all the wedding events. What was supposed to be a luxurious weekend felt like an army base, and we spent an outrageous amount of time navigating traffic both in the car and the lobby. The walls of the rooms are thin, the property sits at a very noisy intersection, the food is overpriced, they pump loud EDM into the gym, and the hot tub was broken. Really? Are you sure THIS place was the Ritz? The lobby smells like roses and they welcome you with champagne, but after that, all luxury goes out the window. Halfway through the trip, I tearfully explained how awful of a time we were having. I even asked if they could rebook us at a different property, or perhaps comp the pricey valet. The front desk agreed to comp us for one night, and then later the concierge offered an additional 20,000 points, to account for both nights we suffered through. I was satisfied. But I never received the 20,000 points, and after months of back and forth between Marriott and the property, showing screenshots of the concierge texts, all the manager can say is "we wouldn't have offered you both." The hotel itself is not the worst, but the service is a complete disaster. For that reason alone, stay literally anywhere else.

NillWe just returned from a 2 night stay at the Whitley. We could not have been happier. Every single person we met there was friendly, courteous, and helpful. In particular, Morris and Mahaya at the front desk were super accommodating, always upbeat and professional. The room was immaculately clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the towels in the bathroom among the best in any hotel we have stayed at. The Whitley has an "old world elegance" feel about it, without any stuffiness. We have stayed in several hotels in Atlanta over the years when we come to visit our kids, and without a doubt, the Whitley is the best hotel we have found. We look forward to staying here again.

NillHonestly, there’s not much to improve because my experience was amazing. Chris, Damien, and Dale at the bar were absolute legends—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel personalized. Ryan, the host, was on top of everything, making sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. And the front desk team? Incredible. They were helpful, welcoming, and made check-in and any requests seamless. The housekeeping staff for room 2229 went above and beyond—I noticed the little details, and it made my stay that much better. The doorman and valet were also outstanding, keeping everything moving efficiently while still being super friendly. Everyone worked together as a team, and it really showed. The level of service here is top-notch, and I truly appreciate how every person played an integral role in making my stay unforgettable.
