This is a long delayed review of this wonderful hotel. You can go to the fanciest hotel in the world and be let down by their staff. At the end of the day, what matters is the service and the service in this hotel is excellent thanks to their great management and employees. We stayed at the hotel over labor day weekend last year and had a great time. Niamh and Dylan personally met us upon arrival and were very accommodating to our dietary requirements in the club lounge. Hyatt should be proud to have such wonder leaders in this hotel. Special shout-out to their staff in the club lounge, and Jose and Manuel in the main restaurant. We were upgraded to a Riverview suite and it was very well appointed with great views. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again when we visit Chicago again. The hotel is a great reflection of this wonderful city.

I had a pleasant stay here. The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance of the riverwalk and tons of restaurants and stores. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and accommodated our early check-in. The baggage storage is great since we had a late flight on our day of check out. Overall 4.5/5 because the shower head and water pressure in the shower was not ideal.

Overall a very positive experience. The Room: Most importantly the room was very clean when we arrived. We opted for daily room service and the cleaning staff did a great job every day. The beds were very comfortable. Our room had a mini fridge which was nice to keep some drinks and leftovers in the room. A bit of a bummer there was no microwave or anything to heat food up but not a real problem. My only real complaint with the room is the sliding bathroom door that doesn't fully close. When the door was "fully shut" there was a gap at least an inch wide that allowed you to see into the bathroom from out in the room. Restaurants: The coffee/General shop was a great option and I stopped by there several times during my stay for a sandwich, coffee, or other drink. The breakfast buffet was a bit expensive for hotel breakfast ($30 per person) but the food was tasty and had a surprising number of options. Fitness: The hotel gym had plenty of cardio machines (treadmill, bike, elliptical) that were all high quality. Their are dumbbells and resistance machines however they are much more limited and finding space to use the dumbbells can be a challenge even if only 2 or 3 other people are using that side of the room.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Chicago and overall had a great experience. The front desk staff was amazing—super friendly, helpful, and made check-in really easy. The room was clean, spacious, and comfy—exactly what you’d hope for in a big city hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The service was just okay, but to be fair, our server was handling everything on her own that night, so it took quite a while to get our food. That said, the food itself was fantastic. I especially loved their calamari—crispy, flavorful, and definitely a highlight of the meal. All in all, great location, solid stay, and I’d definitely come back!

Spent three nights at Hyatt Regency over Easter Holiday weekend. Staff was wonderful and service all outstanding. Location was great, either walkable or easy taxi or uber. Only downside was expected teen takeover on Saturday night. Chicago police did an excellent job with both presence ( several hundred police in streeterville to maintain peace) plan worked well and no trouble. Felt safe every where we walked and enjoyed walking Michigan Ave, Art Institute, and Ubers to Field Museum. Planning our next visit already.

Great atmosphere! Quality rooms, and solid service. Would definitely stay again. Found a good deal, so price was also good (for this quality of hotel). Centrally located, with good walking/public transit. Breakfast options at the restaurant were solid, plus there are great breakfast restaurants in the neighborhood.

I cannot say enough good things about our one night stay this past weekend. My daughter her two small children and myself. We were all treated as if we were the only person they had to wait on. From the doorman, valet, front desk, housekeeping and the bellhop...they were all so kind and helpful. The hotel has a $29 facility charge although they give you a $25 credit for their dining rooms. I didn't ask ahead of time but this does include alcohol. I grabbed a drink before turning in for the night and didn't use my credit. I should have asked this is on me. We walked to Cloudgate, Maggie Daley Park, Navy Pier and the Drake. Perfect location. Thank you to all of the staff at the Hyatt Regency!!!!

Great location. Got an upgrade when I asked for one as a globalist. Other places offer it without having to be asked so I wasn’t a fan of that. Their club is tiny and frankly nothing to write home about. Their breakfast is really good. Friendly staff overall and a nice property.
