This hotel feels very upscale for the price - very pleased. The food and beverage director, Jose Fitzpatrick, was a gem!! So nice and personable, really made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the live Jazz in the lounge on Friday and Saturday and the bar staff were fast and friendly. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the La Salle. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and well staffed with security. The staff all have a positive attitude and were highly accommodating (including when I had a last-minute printing request for work). Service at The Grill on 21 was fast, and both the food and drinks were well prepared. The rooms and public spaces feel luxurious with expensive finishes, detailed millwork, etc. Areas for improvement: I relied a lot on room service and there were several minor screw-ups with my order (e.g., missing a beverage, forgot a substitution, etc.). Once is understandable, but for a hotel of this caliber they need to work on getting the orders right. Presentation also was lacking: e.g., I ordered a sparkling wine and it came warm and loosely wrapped in crumpled Saran wrap. (Again, not being a snob, and not a big deal in the scheme of things, but at $25+ per glass details matter and other hotels do a better job.) The HVAC system also was loud and temperamental, and it was hard to figure out what light switches controlled what in the room. Making some of these minor fixes will improve the customer experience.

Ms. Ornelise checked us in, and our room was not yet ready (approximately 1:45pm). She was extremely hospitable, got us set up near the lounge/bar, had our bags checked with a bellman, and issued some vouchers to assist with us obtaining a quick lunch while we waited. ||After seeing a show, my wife and I returned to the property and were greeted (by name) by Mr. Stanley. He thanked us for choosing to stay at The Lasalle, and provided us with a complimentary glass of prosecco. ||Overall, this is an extremely beautiful property with attention given to every detail. All staff encountered were extremely polite, professional, and went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay. ||Thank you all! Top Notch, Top Notch!!!!

I booked my stay at the LaSalle, as it was my first time staying here. When I arrived, I was met with issues with my room. I was put into 3 different rooms over the span of 2 days. The first time, my bathroom was dirty (hair in the shower and on the floors). The staff offered to switch me. When I was moved to the second room, the telephone was not working. Staff informed me that they wanted me to switch rooms because no one would be available to fix the phone until Monday. When I was moved to the third room, the TV was glitching and the room was missing a table, so I had no where to eat. Even when I checked out, a table was still not available in my room. The staff was excellent in terms of treating me kindly. Alexis at the front desk offered me several vouchers for my inconvenience (there was “allegedly” no better room to upgrade me to) and recommended things for me to do around Chicago. However, when I spoke with the General Manager regarding my experience and asked to have a night comped off of my stay for the hassle, he seemed to be disinterested in my concern, like I was being difficult. The hotel was beautiful, the food was decent, and the staff was (mostly) wonderful. However, I feel for the price that I spent, I was inconvenienced too many times. Unfortunately, I will NOT be staying at this hotel again in true future. At almost $1000 for two days, I could’ve spent my money at another high end hotel like the Four Seasons or Waldorf.

My sister and I booked at stay at The LaSalle Chicago because of the easy access to the Passport Agency located around the corner on Ida B. Wells. What I was not prepared for was the chic and absolute splendor of this property. The rooms are simply magnificent and the aura of old world glamour is firmly in place. The setting in the financial district adds another layer of sophistication and swankiness without being stuffy. Nestled in a very discreet part of downtown Chicago you will not be disappointed. Thank God for Joseph who is at the registration desk, with his knowledge and deep care for customer service made our experience even more memorable. This is truly the place to be. I can not wait for another visit.

One of the best experiences at a hotel we’ve ever had. Rooms are wonderful, spacious, and extremely well maintained. Staff was fantastic and accommodating. Great location. Easy access to the city while being more quiet at night compared to somewhere like London house.

Top rate staff in an unique upside down quaint yet expansive hotel atop the former CITY NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST building. Staff on the ground level will lead you to the elevators to access the 21st floor reception, restaurant, gym and conference rooms nested under a mansard (?) roof with 100+ rooms on a few well appointed floors below.
