Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Review: My recent stay at the Hyatt Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I could tell that Hyatt lives up to its reputation for delivering high-quality service, comfort, and attention to detail. Whether you’re traveling for business, leisure, or a special occasion, Hyatt offers an experience that truly feels elevated and well thought out. Let’s start with the check-in experience—seamless and efficient. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, courteous, and professional. They made the check-in process quick, offered helpful information about the hotel amenities, and even accommodated my early arrival with no hassle. It’s these small touches that set a premium hotel apart. I stayed in a king room, and it was immaculate. The design was modern, elegant, and functional. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with soft linens and plush pillows that made it hard to leave in the morning. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like built-in USB ports, blackout curtains, a spacious work desk, and a large flat-screen TV. The bathroom was spotless and well-stocked with high-quality toiletries, soft towels, and great water pressure in the shower. The amenities at the Hyatt really elevate the overall experience. The fitness center was well-equipped with cardio machines, weights, and yoga mats—everything you’d need to keep up your routine while traveling. The pool area was clean and relaxing, with comfortable seating and towels provided. If you’re traveling for work, their business center and conference facilities are also top-notch and very convenient. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site dining. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, a quick coffee, or sitting down for dinner, the food is consistently fresh, well-prepared, and offered with excellent service. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet—great variety with both healthy and indulgent options. Room service was also prompt and delicious, which is always a plus after a long day. Throughout my stay, I was continuously impressed by the level of service. Every staff member I encountered—from housekeeping to concierge—was warm, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making my stay comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate requests and made me feel truly valued as a guest. The location of the hotel was another major advantage. Whether you’re exploring the city, attending a conference, or just looking for easy access to local attractions, the Hyatt is typically situated in prime, walkable areas. I had no trouble getting to nearby restaurants, public transport, or entertainment venues. In summary, my stay at the Hyatt exceeded expectations in every way. Clean, quiet, beautifully designed rooms, outstanding amenities, delicious food, and staff who truly care—it’s everything you could want in a hotel experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and consistency during their travels.

Front of house staff are superb and enormously helpful in every way. The room was spacious and generous and the bed so comfortable I didnt really want to go out into the rain! Even though I opted for no housekeeping service - a very nice gesture to be asked - my room was still tidied up and the bed made Fantastic! Cannot recommend it highly enough for business or pleasure.

The hotel is a great place to stay for the price. My family of five (three kids 11-5 years old) stayed in a room with two queens and a fold out sofa. There was plenty of room. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was mediocre and it was a little unclear who paid and who didn’t. The pool, while small, was clean and enjoyable for my kids. We are local to the area and knew where we were staying but for out of towners, the hotel is in the loop/business area and is dead on the weekends. For the price, it fit our needs but I would prefer a different location if I wasn’t on a tight budget for this trip. While you are only a short walk to millennium park, the mag mile, and sears tower…. I hate a silent city on the weekends. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend the hotel as long as folks know they are staying just outside the tourist area.

Nice room. However beds were stated that they were Queen. They were most likely full beds. Very comfortable. Pull out couch has seen better days. Not sure it is used that much and it appeared to be very worn. Check in staff was pleasent and got us to our room before Check in time, which was nice since we had our bags and did not want to leave them unattended.

While the location of this hotel is convenient, my experience with both the service and accommodations was disappointing. I booked my stay through a third-party platform, which I now regret, as I’ve learned that bookings made through such platforms do not always align with the room types promised. We reserved a four-person room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. However, upon arrival, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a king-bed room with a sofa bed, which the staff assured us would accommodate four people. Upon entering the king-bed room, we found that it was only set up for two people, with no towels or bedding provided for additional guests. This “upgrade” did not meet our needs, as we were expecting three separate beds. The hotel was unable to provide a cot, which left us with an uncomfortable situation. When I inquired about compensation for the discrepancy between what we had booked and what was provided, I was offered a complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated. However, what truly tarnished our experience was an unfortunate interaction with the manager. While waiting for the elevator, I overheard the manager making disparaging comments about my booking, mocking me for using a third-party platform and claiming that I was entitled despite having booked well over a month in advance. I expect better customer service and professionalism from an established hotel brand. The combination of the inadequate accommodations and unprofessional behavior from the staff made this a less-than-pleasant stay.

Overall a good hotel. We enjoyed the scenic views and I thought the breakfast was good. The sofa bed mattress in our room smelled really bad so I called the desk and they replaced it promptly. The heat wasn’t working in our room. They brought a space heater and offered to change rooms. I declined that offer because they said it would be fixed that day but when we returned to our room in the evening it still wasn’t working. Otherwise we would have had a perfect stay.

Wonderful location, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast options. Our room was large with a nice size sitting area, and our bed was fairly comfortable... The bed wasn't quite as soft as we prefer but it also wasn't super hard. We will definitely recommend this location, and will stay here again when I Chicago.

They are VERY Attentive to the needs of the differently abled. Very kind and courteous. There is a reason I come to the same hotel year after year - and the staff is it! The rooms are a big plus as well. Our room was dead quiet the whole time we were there. It made for a truly relaxing stay.
