NillI stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Garden Inn Central Loop recently and really enjoyed my time there. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It’s literally right across the street from the Skydeck at Willis Tower, which made it super easy to visit without dealing with traffic or long walks. It’s also close to a bus stop, Giordano’s Pizzeria, and a 7-Eleven, so finding food and getting around was no problem at all. The hotel itself was very clean and had some nice city views from the room. I loved that they included thoughtful little amenities like a hair dryer, coffee maker, and a mini fridge. It made it feel a lot more comfortable and convenient, especially for a short city stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel doesn’t have its own parking. There’s a nearby parking garage, but it’ll cost you about $65 per night, which is kind of pricey. Also, breakfast isn’t included in the stay, so you’ll need to plan for that separately. No Pool either. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its great location, clean rooms, and helpful amenities — just be aware of the extra parking and breakfast costs.

★★★★★I can't rate our experience high enough. Every staff member in every department went out of their way to make sure that our stay was the best it could be. The front desk folks helped us navigate the parking situation and make the best choice for the length of our stay. The room/bath exceeded expectations with regards to space and cleanliness. The decor was a cool mix of vintage and modern eclecticism. The request for extra towels and Nespresso coffee pods after we had just been here a few hours was swiftly granted. The breakfast experience also was terrific. The scratch made entrees and freshly brewed coffee got us off to the right start.||The entire staff in the breakfast area went out of their way to help us make some alternative choices as we arrived almost at the closing time, and it was understandable that they were out of a couple items. ||I love the public spaces of the hotel. They were just the right size, perfect for lounging before we went out for the day and when we came in in the evening. The architecture and artwork added to the overall ambiance and experience. ||Hilton has been doing a fine job with all of their properties lately, but this one ranks close to the top in my recent travels domestically and internationally. ||Great Stay!

★★★★★Great experience! My wife and I were in Chicago for business and sightseeing. The hotel oozes charm from its history as a former railroad company HQ; very fitting for Chicago with its history of railroads. The pics on the portal are true to life. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff at reception and food service. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated in retro charm, comfortable bed, efficient desk space, coffee maker, and squeaky clean. We appreciated the fast and efficient elevators. Maybe the best part of the experience was the Seville restaurant in the penthouse; our waiter (Zared) was super knowledgeable about the drink and food selections, which were very uniquely curated and prepared, all in Spanish theme. We started with a Spanish version of mushroom crostini which was absolutely delicious. My entree was duck sausage pasta; out of this world unique and delicious. In keeping with the Spanish theme, I ordered a "Running with the Bulls" cocktail, a sangria type cocktail. Overall great experience. We will be back next time we are in Chicago!

NillStayed here 1 night for a business trip at the Willis Tower. Very convenient as the Willis Tower is literally across the street. It was a cold week in the winter, so needed something close. Check-in was quick and easy with the help of the friendly front desk staff. They gave me a nice room with a good city view that was also facing the Willis. Room was very clean, spacious, and plenty of amenities. The Internet was fast and reliable. There is a restaurant and bar onsite, but there's plenty of options around the hotel too. Great service, clean rooms, and friendly staff.

NillStayed here with two friends during the summer and the room was clean and spacious. Only interacted with staff to check in and out and they were nice. Came from out of town with a car so we purchased the room with parking included which I recommend if you don't want to struggle with hunting down a safe and convenient spot; the hotel uses the garage right next door. Great location with trains around the corner. Used one to Chinatown and had no problems aside from a group of boys making comments they wouldn't with their mothers around. Just be aware of your surroundings like anywhere else and you'll be fine.

NillOverall, this was a great stay. The room met expectations and is up to date and fresh, and the location of room 326 was perfect for us...right next door to the guest laundry and the fitness room with no across-the-hall or nextdoor neighbors. Housekeeping did keep their carts parked there when not in use, but that didn't bother us. Since we used the gym and the laundry, it was like a private apartment at our end of the hall. Speaking of laundry, one load (wash and dry) will cost you $3.25 - in quarters! The front desk will not make change for you and neither will Circle K, so make small purchases in cash and save those quarters. C'mon Hilton, update to card payments or provide a change machine. One load of laundry requires a little too much planning for acquiring quarters. Even though the room sleeps four, really only one person can get ready at a time, because there is no outlet for the hairdryer near any mirror outside the bathroom. With a glass door on the shower, no one else can be in the bathroom unless you don't require privacy. The thermostat is locked at 68, so if you like a slightly cooler setting for sleeping, you won't get it here. Nearby are plenty of places to eat...Giardano's, Halsted St Deli (bagel breakfast sandwiches), Big Shoulders Coffee, Shake Shack to name a few. We also walked to Lou Mitchell's. We walked to/from various places in the Loop daily including the Art Institute, took a taxi to the Field and walked back, etc.

★★★★★A unique hotel in the Hilton chain. The landmark 1-bedroom suite was spectacular. The room is so inviting upon opening the door. A long hallway decorated in a warm brown wood, connects the bedroom, bathroom and living room. All rooms were impeccably neat and clean. My favorite room was the bathroom, beautifully decorated with black and white marble - with a rain shower faucet. ||I highly recommend this hotel!!

★★★★★We came on a Thursday later in the evening and were suprised by the live music they had. We quickly checked and sat by the bar to enjoy the good drink and music. |The room was fantastic with a great view of the river and other Chicago landmarks. |It’s nice to be centrally located because we decided to take an Amtrak from Milwaukee and we are a block away from the station which also made it easy to get around the city!
