DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - Magnificent Mile

Great check-in. Justin was awesome. Clean and quiet room. Great view. Warm welcome. Good location. The warm cookies made me smile. Hoping the rest of the stay is as good as the beginning. Location is very walkable with lots of shopping and great restaurants.

Check in process was easy and fast. The front desk staff were all really friendly and helpful. Hotel's location is great for walking around or using public transit. Room was clean and the bed was super comfy. I got a great night's sleep and would definitely recommend to others.||Toiletries provided in hotel rooms have limeone as an ingredient, including hand soap, so if you have a lemon or citrus allergy, bring your own supplies.

This was my first time in Chicago and I read the reviews of hotels before I booked and I'm a Hilton Baby, so I paid close attention! And I chose this Hotel! I'm not sure where the negative ratings came from but it couldn't of been for this hotel! Because from the moment you walked in the front door I was completely satisfied! There was Not one thing to complain about nor did I have a problem with! The Front Desk Staff were Amazing, helped me with checking in, even though I had already checked in on the App, they verified my information and I got my cookie and water! With a suggestion for a close restaurant with a coupon! The Staff in the Lobby, Nice! My room was perfect! And I read the reviews of concerns of cleanliness, so I came prepared, which is normal for me, but the room was clean, the bathroom clean, main room clean, bed clean, and I had an incredible view! Refrigerator, microwave, closet, everything! We were on the 20th floor right by the elevator and quiet! The breakfast at the restaurant was good every morning and if you just wanted coffee and a quick bite to go they had a Starbucks and that was hot and good as well! All of the Staff I came into contact with were nice, helpful and pleasant! There was security present, which was good so no matter the time you came back you felt safe! The hotel is in a very good location and we were even able to walk to some attractions! This is a really good hotel stay and large enough to hold large groups and not interfere with your private vacation!

I really enjoyed this hotel on visit to Chicago with my friend. It seems well kept and attractive. It has a little restaurant near the lobby that has tasty pickup items as well as a sit down place which we did not try. Also a Starbucks. |The beds were truly wonderful. Soft enough to sleep comfortably but firm enough to wake up relaxed.|The bathroom was nice with a step-in tub shower and all was in working order.||The very best part of my stay was that the day I checked out I lost my cell phone. I thought I lost it in the lobby but after Security got involved and watched the security tapes, it was discovered I had taken my phone to parking garage when we left. I knew my phone kept indicating it was still somewhere at the Doubletree so the kindest security officer went out of his way to walk to the garage and look around where I had parked-and found my phone next to where I had parked! Had he not gone out of his way to go there I would have been replacing a brand new phone. As it was, it had been run over multiple times but still somehow worked! So after a visit to the Apple Store for a new screen protector I was off to enjoy the rest of mytrip.||While the hotel itself was a lovely experience, my experience with this Security employee elevated my trip experience and makes me a Doubletree customer for life. I will recommend this Chicago Doubletree over any others downtown and expect to receive the same level of professionalism at any Doubletree I stay in anywhere.

This Double Tree is conveniently located just north of the river and a few blocks from the Mag Mile. The room was large enough for our family of four to be comfortable in, and we really liked the windowsill bench. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but they did feel a little dated. I was glad that the rooms were quiet and there was minimal outdoor and hallway noise. They offer parking for a pretty steep price, but I recommend looking for parking spots through a parking app at one of the many nearby parking garages. Service was friendly and let us check in early which was great! We would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Chicago.

Had an amazing 5 day stay here at this hotel. Antonio who checked us into our room was hands down the best! Great conversation and super helpful went above and beyond. The room was in great condition no foul smell everything was clean. Also a great location w/ many many food options walking distance. Not too far from main attractions. I really just wish you would be able to connect your fire stick.

Upon check-in, I asked for a luggage cart but was not allowed to use it myself. The porter rudely swung it away from me and refused to allow me to use it. The unspoken language was this: either pay me to help you with your bags or do it yourself, without the convenience of a cart. This is not a luxury hotel, and even if it was, I would still to be treated courteously. The room was fine and met our expectations. It was clean, and didn’t feel dated. We are a family of four, and indicated this when making our reservation. There were only three bath towels, which is less than the usual four or more. We called and asked for one additional towel and two additional pillows. The hotel brought up six towels and no pillows. They promised to correct this but never returned. The hotel is located near a hospital and loud sirens are frequent. When we went down to breakfast, the host told us there would be a one-hour wait. We were eager to get our day started, so I pointed out empty seats at the bar. We were seated there and tables opened up in about 20 minutes. The restaurant aggressively sells the breakfast buffet and we were warned that ordering off the menu could take 20 minutes. It actually took about 10 minutes and we were happy with the freshness and quality of the food. The aggressive selling of the $30 buffet is annoying and stressful. Not a nice way to start a day. There are two large TVs in the restaurant. When we sat at the bar with our young children, there was footage of Diddy beatng his girlfriend on CNN. Once again, not a nice way to start the day. TVs in restaurants is such a horrible thing, no matter what is on the screen. But doom-and-gloom and violent news really has no place in a restaurant, where we are seeking the comfort of a good meal.

Location and price were good but the room we got was an upgraded city view. There’s no city view, just another tall building next door. The room was chilly. A lot of static electricity touching anything. The heater dried the room out to like no moisture. We had to turn off the heater which made the room cold. For the price, this hotel was not worth it. Many other people partied very late and were very loud past midnight and kept waking us up. Unfortunate because we typically have a great experience at Hilton based hotels as we are Diamond status.
