Residence Inn Cedar Rapids South

After checking into another CR hotel and having to check back out immediately, checking in here was a breath of fresh air. Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the trip we had planned. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, even providing batteries to us when the one’s in one of our own personal devices died. Definitely would recommend if you’re in the area!

Very disappointed. Have a bunch of work in the area so decided to stay at this hotel. Are stay was for 5 weeks and we had 2 of the high dollar room. I believe the one bedroom suites. Week 1 was great. We work for 10 days then go home but keep the rooms. Asked if we could a total service on rooms while we were gone they never even cleaned the room. Week 2 my employee found a cockroach in the bathroom. When I went to front desk they didn’t see like it was a big deal. When the manager called me he acted like it wasn’t a big deal. I asked for another deep clean of our room and that got no where. Fast forward to week 4. When I arrived at my room after a weekend at home the trash wasn’t taken out since the previous Thursday and the room just smelt like a dump. I would not recommend this hotel at all. There are plenty of other ones in the area. When I asked the manager to put a couple more points on my account to make up for the disgusting rooms he said no. It’s not just the rooms that are gross it’s the whole hotel

No major issues with this hotel. Good location 10 min to CID. Close to restaurants and shopping. The room was large with a kitchen and desk to eat or work from. Enough outlets in good locations to charge devices. The bed was very comfortable. Nice fitness area, dumbbells, stepper, treadmill. The only issue I had was the treadmill would not reduce speed, which was a bit dangerous, if you were not careful. Complimentary breakfast included. Not fine cuisine but not bad. I will be staying here again if in the area.

Starting to show age. Lots of needed upkeep but hired new maintenance guy so it may improve. Bed feels old, hard with soft top. Had so much better experience with other Res.Inns. breakfast was weak, no 1/2 n 1/2, no fruit for oatmeal, just a poor job. Pics posted already. Found toenail by bed. Loose molding. Pee by base of toilet, not clean after cleaning crew came., AND THAT SHOWER DOOR IS THE STUPIDEST IDEA ANYONES EVER HAD. CLASS ACTION SLIP AND FALL WAITING TO HAPPEN. FIX ASAP. Back to Hilton.

One of the nicest hotels in CR. Lovely pool (no hot tub), but the pool is freezing however. The rooms with the kitchenette are amazing. Great breakfast too and the staff is really really nice.

Clean, polite, and Kimberly went above and beyond for customer service and I wasn't even looking to stay at this hotel. I did and she was so helpful along with the rest of the staff,

This location has improved so much. It was very run down after the derecho. They have done extensive repairs on every room I have stayed in. Service is top notch I and the breakfast has quite a few options. It’s right down the street from my office which makes it an ideal location. I will be staying here again

Great service from wonderful staff. Room is nice, has everything you might need for a well-rested business stay.
