Hyatt Place Cincinnati/Blue Ash

For the price, this was a good stay! Rooms: The water pressure was mid and the bed was too firm for our tastes, but it was all clean with no smell. The showers have full-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Service: The provided breakfast was nice. They served eggs mixed with a light serving green onions, hash browns, pancakes, and flour tortillas with a variety of breakfast taco options. Also a variety of cold pitchers of water, milk, orange juice, and apple juice. All of the glassware I saw was clean and ready for use. Location: Personally, for our stay, we explored Cincinnati/Newport so it was a 20-30 minute drive back to the hotel. Overall it was good for the price, and we're happy with what we received.

Avoid this hotel. It is outdated but most importantly it was not clean. Mold in the shower door sills, peeling paint on bathroom walls and ceiling. Carpets in bedroom weren’t vacuumed well. AC unit was very musty when we turned it on. It was a dive of a hotel if I’m being honest. My first stay at a Hyatt Place, so maybe my expectations were too high? I expected clean. I don’t necessarily care about outdated.

I truly don’t understand all the positive reviews of this hotel. It was a total dump! The room was large, but poorly laid out. There were extension cords plugging in lamps and light switches turned off outlets so you couldn’t use them to plug in chargers. The staff weren’t very friendly, seemed annoyed to be there. The breakfast was HORRIBLE! There was sausage and potatoes but no eggs (someone told us they ran out and never refilled). There was cereal but no milk. The pastry boxes were empty except for some stale bread, no muffins, bagels, etc. We asked the staff if there was more as it was only 9 and breakfast was posted until 10am, they said no. The whole place was generally in need of a good cleaning and updating. I would not stay again.

A very disappointing stay. Would not return here. The shower in the room DID NOT WORK. So we did not get showers because they were fully booked and could not move us to a room with a working shower. Other guests complained of very low water pressure, so it seems there is a larger and known issue that is not being fixed. ||||The gym was dirty. No towels and the alcohol wipes all dried out, so clearly no one was wiping anything down. ||||Still waiting on a manager to contact me.

stayed here in early April for combination business and kids sports. i was not expecting anything elegant as i travel alot for business, maybe we caught them on a bad couple days, but our room was clearly not vacuumed before we took it. they have a sign at breakfast saying please do not take food back to your room. thats fine but then you need to have someone cleaning the tables for people to sit at, they were a mess. food was the cheapest i have ever seen in my travels. came out with a "fresh" pan of bacon.....some of it was cold, not even sure it was real meat. bagels were a bit stale and the toaster was not functional. you may also want to train your front desk staff, that they should eat breakfast BEFORE they get to work. not a good look when no one is at the desk because they are around the corner eating and then have to quick chew as they come to greet a guest. the facility itself was fine for what it is, but a handful of small attention to detail type things are the difference between booking again and not.

Positive: Location Negative: The sheets and the comforter were dirty and we immediately needed to have them replaced once arriving to the room. We also alerted hotel staff of the sink not draining and nothing was done about it. The standing water rose to the top of sink at checkout.

The bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. Grout is dirty. Use soft scrub. The refrigerator smelled like fish. The share microwave was dirty. Overall the hotel needs to use bleach and a disinfectant. Not a nice hyatt. Front desk lady was nice.

I loved absolutely everything about this hotel. Very clean, an exceptionally friendly staff, a tasty breakfast, and perfect location. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how incredible Calena was at manning the front desk on the night shift. She was so incredibly sweet, kind and helpful.
