Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Cincinnati NE/Mason

Meh. I suppose you get what you pay for but I would have expected better. I paid a little under 350 for 5 nights with their spring deal. Check in went easy enough, though I booked a single bed with more space for me and my daughters and they didn’t have a single when I got there so we had to take a more cramped double. The hallways immediately have off that cheap hotel feel and it reeked of weed outside. But it’s a hotel so I wasn’t upset. The first night went easy enough, didn’t really do any inspecting or anything and slept decent enough. I had gotten a text to text back if we needed anything, so I asked for the WiFi password and never got a response. The next day I went to work and when we returned I noticed that house keeping had not stopped in the room, so I called, a girl answered after about 8 rings. I asked her for the password and got it, then asked how often does housekeeping come, it is an extended stay so I thought maybe every other day or something. She said she didn’t know, it was her first day. ||I started looking around after I opened the microwave and there wasn’t a plate in it. Found a cracker on the floor from before we came, the floors weren’t swept under the cabinet, the microwave is clearly broken, the oven is filthy on the inside, and the coffee pot was old in dire need of replacement. There were stains on the walls. 2 days later we still had not been visited by house keeping and the real kicker is that the elevator stopped worked on the second day. I left early on the 4th night, elevator still broken. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and having to walk up and down stairs. Oh also the door to the outside was broken so anyone could just walk into the hotel without a keycard.

This hotel is exceptional and outstanding for the price. I can’t believe it just has 3/5 rating something is wrong. The good: 1. Excellent room size 2. Excellent bathroom 3. Excellent towels 4. Excellent kitchen (full kitchen with large fridge and stove) 5. Excellent bed 6. Excellent working desk 7. Good furniture 8. Comes with breakfast 9. Excellent front desk 10. Costco 1 minute from here 11. Lots of groceries around you The not good: 1. Entrance and corridor not clean and not renovated 2. Couple weird people around probably because of the cost effective price I am a person who travelled the world and stayed at hundreds of hotels. This place is where I will always stay while I am in Cincinnati

Rooms are decent if your into doing all of your own house keeping and cleaning. N the day time staff is just horrible with customer service I've been cussed at doors slamed in my face room keys turned off when I go outside to smoke after being a paying customer who never asked for room service once and always cleaned up my own room anytime I checked in or out. But the nighttime staff is polor opposites bc they were always so hospital and polite with any of my needs and always a pleasure to deal with. Jessica seems to have a problem with just about anyone who walks thru the door and never seems to be in a good mood definitely in the wrong business to be the face of the company. Definitely loosing the company money I seen 3 cars full leave yesterday bc of how they were treated and the state the Rooms were in that were suppose to be clean and ready. Really like this hotel just wish they had someone who acted like they actually wanted customers. A hotel is the last place you should feel unwelcome. Honestly I've seen better at the mason inn.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Not only are they the nicest staff but the rooms are amazing clean smell clean and a very big note. TRIP booking is very ery either outdated or it's staff are the dullest. Twi e i have been booked at the wrong Hotel by Trip staff. This last time not only was ot wrong but the address to the hotel is listed wrong. I had such a terri le time with support getting a room correctly and charged correctly the Hotel Night Manager took my phone and had to get the situation correct be abuse the same thing over and o er was trying to happen with mind u no refunds no help and told I was ignorant a 3 hour wait for TRIP support to still not help fix the issue they created but it was now 3am. That manager not I ly got my room but gave me a free upgraded suite for all the trouble I had been caused not to mention the now mess they had since bookings were going to the wrong hotel under their name. It was a nightmare for the second but this Hotel and staff are by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to meet. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Positive: Location and the bed was comfortable. Negative: DISGUSTING! Booked a 2-night stay, left after 1. The smell inside the room was unbearable, as though there was a pile of dirty gym socks under the bed. If we hadn't arrived after 11pm, would have left immediately. DON'T DO IT!

It is a place that is only interested in money and aims to scam people. They promised us that they would not increase the monthly rent from 950 dollars, but after 2-3 months they increased it to 1400 dollars. And even though we told them there were bugs in the rooms, they didn't find a solution. and I saw with my own eyes that people you know gave 5 stars to your own hotel on your phone. Greetings to the Indian man from here. Be honest and respectful. I definitely do not recommend it.

I loved staying here! It's an extended stay hotel and the rooms are amazing! They're big and super clean! You can cook a meal on the stove and closets are huge with lots of space for stuff. Free hot breakfast was so good!
