We were in town for a soccer game for the weekend. This hotel location is great walking distance to Huntington Bank Field, science museum and restaurants. We had an issue with our initial room and they were more than accommodating by moving us to a very nice room at no extra charge. The front desk staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again for our next visit.

We have been to quite a few Marriotts over the years and this one was very solid. Admittedly, the reviews were hit or miss, but our experience was a legit 4.5/5. Holly checked us in and was absolutely amazing. We got to the property a bit early and she happily held our bags and apprised us it would be an hour or so. We came back from lunch and she saved our suite upgrade (thanks again). David @ maker’s bar was also fantastic. Made some great drinks. Few other details: Excellent location close to sports, food and drink. Self parked in garage next door. Reviews said it was sketchy but it was fine. Shower pressure was pretty good. Larger suite with soaking tub was great and shower was gigantic. Pillows were not the best. Elite perks: $10 food/bev credit + free brekkie for 2. We will be back!

The hotel is gorgeous, and very clean! The front desk staff could use some training. At check in the woman was super polite and friendly. When I asked her about parking in the garage she told me it was free for hotel guests, just use the room key to get out. Upon check out, the woman at the front desk seemed annoyed at my presence before we ever spoke. I got my invoice and was surprised at the $144 charge for 3 days in the garage. I explained what was told to me at check in and she blankly stared at me in silence (awkward) so I asked if the charge was right. She said it was. She completed the transaction in as few words as possible and without even a glimpse of friendliness. At the end of the transaction I told her about a coffee spill in the lobby near the desk and she rolled her eyes and sighed. I then went into the attached mall. When passing back through the lobby, an hour later, to get to the garage, the coffee spill was still there and she was still at the front desk. Again, it's beautiful building but the miscommunication and awkward unfriendliness from the two staff members I interacted with was off-putting for an upscale hotel.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. This was our first stay since the renovations have been completed and everything is beautiful. Clean spacious room, gorgeous bathroom. Perfect location across from Public Square and connected to Tower City and Jack Casino. Fast elevators, super clean lobby, and halls. Bar area is gorgeous. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful stay. I was beyond pleased. Everyone was so kind and I couldn’t have asked for a better location. I wanted to see the St. Pat’s parade and it was literally steps from the hotel. Perfect! My room was clean and comfortable. The bed had both down and foam pillow which was perfect because I prefer foam and that’s not always easy to find. I was within walking distance of Playhouse Square and enjoyed a show there last night. The front desk staff Ana, Adam and Ryan were wonderful. Ana directed me to the breakfast area without my asking as she could just tell I was confused. I would not only stay here again but will seek this location out if I visit in the future.

This is our second stay here for the Cornerstone of hope gala , the hotel only took $18 off the crazy already priced valet, the bar is beyond reasonably priced, the hallways are darker in spots then outside and looks cheap, the a/c barely worked. I did get notified my car was unlocked TWICE during the gala, which was a concern so of course I re-locked on my phone right away. Otherwise the service at the bar, folks at the evening desk, and the breakfast were all wonderful.

I was told we could check-in early and that I would receive a text once the room was ready. We did not receive a text. At check-in we were made to feel like a bother to the staff. Unloading was a struggle - with no help from the staff and being forced to park in the bus lane instead of next to the hotel. The room was dark with poor lighting. Areas that should’ve been regularly cleaned were dusty. The hot tub still had a manufacturer’s sticker on it, escutcheons were slipped off the wall, and the marble tile had a bunch of missed drill marks. The safe didn’t work. The wireless charging ports didn’t work. Service had a severe lack of attention to detail. No soap in either bathroom. Limited towels for a four person suite. We had to call three times for sheets and pillows on the pull out couch. There were 1-1/2 rolls of toilet paper across two bathrooms. Our first call yielded just one extra roll. This place could be fantastic but the staff needs a major overhaul.

It's kind of charming, the bar area is fun, but like many older hotels the rooms leave a bit to be desired. The biggest issue was that we could hear very clearly every word spoken in both of the neighboring rooms (also their alarms, tv shows, etc) and the extremely loud nearby ice machine startled us out of sleep more than once. It felt like we were literally in the same room as our neighbors. Bathrooms are renovated and beautiful, but our shower door didn't close (which made showering drafty and uncomfortable). People were friendly, and there is an historic charm to the whole place, but if you want privacy or to sleep in, maybe look elsewhere.
