Location is ok with a several restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are cute with enough space and modern decor. Pretty clean with no issues with lack of hot water. Parking costs extra, 26.00 to 40.00 a night. Train tracks and highway are super close and very active. If you like the city it is probably fine but if you want quiet, keep looking.

Our most recent stay at the Aloft Hotel in Cleveland, OH, was hit-or-miss. The hotel is situated extremely centrally in the heart of the East Bank of The Flats. The majority of the restaurants and activities are within walking distance, and thus extremely easy to get around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the positives largely stopped there. Our biggest problem was, hands down, the noise. The lobby lounge is a bar that stays open late, nice-sounding stuff—until it's time for bed. That music and disturbance from the lounge echoed all the way up to our room till 2 o'clock in the morning, and any kind of sleep became about impossible. Exacerbating that problem were automobile traffic on the street and proximity to the train tracks. Light sleepers beware! The second letdown was the fact that there was no hot water. We'd come back from a chilly day in Cleveland, and we'd hoped for a warm shower. Instead, what we received was luke warm at best and only for a few moments. When we walked down to the front desk to ask about this they told us, "Oh, that has been an issue ongoing." Obviously not new, but urgency to have it resolved was nil. We also had an issue with the door lock to our room. We requested assistance, but after one hour we were informed that maintenance staff members had already left for the day. Guests' matters seemed not to matter and there was no coordination. I felt bad for the poor girl working the front desk, it definitely seemed understaffed. Overall, the Aloft Hotel has a perfect spot in which to indulge in The Flats, but noise, cold showers, and non-responsiveness of employees make recommending it more challenging. Unless you won't be out quite so late as the bar patrons or have no dislike of taking a cold shower, you can forgo this and check out other spots in the area.

This rating is purely for the valet staff. I encountered four separate people working the valet who were rude and lazy. Don't bother using them and just park your car in the garage 2 feet away. It connects directly to the hotel. Save your money. I would give 1 star but I enjoyed the hotel and do not want to ruin the ratings based on how awful their valet provider is.

The lobby, bar, lounge, decor, and aesthetics of this hotel were amazing. I truly enjoyed staying there and would definitely stay there again. There are two attached restaurants that are totally different yet equally nice. Only ate at one but will be back for the other. The design and setup of our room were unique and different.

It was strange as aloft usually maintains the rooms and spaces. My room was dirty, with hair in the bathroom and on the bed. There was an odor in the room and hallway. Also, there was no microwave in the room. Towels were rough. They do have a great valet service. However, it cost 40 dollars a day. Don't park in the open lot across from it. People will break into the vehicles. Staff are nice and will greet you.

I am a retired Marriott Quarter Century member. As a result, I qualify for space available low room rates. I carry a card identifying for my low reservation rate.|The clerk was unfamiliar with the card and tried to contact her manager. The manager was not immediately available. I urged her, get her manager confirmation without us waiting and to let us get checked after our long drive on a nasty rainy day.|That request was ignored until she contacted her manager on the phone who provided permission.||An hour later and within feet of the check in area I asked the manager if we could step aside for a brief conversation. Granted, she used the phrase, "I apologize for that," a couple of times but it came across in very perfunctory and scripted way. Nothing about her demeaner indicated an ounce of customer empathy.||After more than 25 years of Marriott Management experience and culture this ALOFT experience fell far short of those standards.| |The king room was smaller than a standard Marriott room at a Fairfield or Courtyard. Bathroom area was extremely tight.|One plastic chair at a sharp angle for watching Television. No other place to sit except on the bed.

Very nice place in Downtown Cleveland, friendly front desk staff, clean room comfortable bed. I just wish they could enforce the no smoking policy a little better, you could smell marijuana throughout the entire hotel. I got really sick during my stay the early morning hours before I left after I got out of the shower I turned on the vent and it was like someone lit a joint right beside me. The smell makes me nauseaus to begin with and having a stomach bug made it 10X worse

Excellent location and that’s it. Horrible management, doors are paper thin, and kids running around screaming at 7 am. No signage to explain anything, interior design makes no sense, and people are smoking cigs in the hallways. Management will hear your complaints, do nothing, and offer no refund of any kind. Too expensive a stay for this. DO NOT STAY HERE.
