★★★★★Beautiful hotel! All the staff (especially at the front desk) were extremely polite and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I would definitely stay here again! Nice touch with the free evening wine hour- appetizers were delicious! Loved the cozy lounge area in the main lobby with the warm fireplace!

NillI was really excited to stay at this hotel. The pictures made it look so gorgeous! The amenities were unmatched. However… it actually wasn’t that great. The location was a walkable distance from most things. About a mile walk from the flats, but it would be easy to uber. The customer service was awesome. The hotel offers a ton of things on loan, like humidifiers or curling irons. A picture is attached with the full list. Valet parking guys were great also. The security isn’t the best. At night, there is an armed security guard. This is great because there was a lot of foot traffic around the hotel. The elevator won’t let you go up without scanning your room key, BUT the stairs are all open and unlocked? So anyone can get anywhere during the day. The front desk is tucked away and doesn’t have a full, clear, unobstructed view to the doors. During the day no one is guarding the door. The rooms only have a dead bolt and no extra security features on the inside. I’ve had people attempt to break into my room and that extra piece of security prevented them from getting in. Now the rooms…. The only plugs that worked consistently were in the bathroom. Next to the beds and around the room, the plugs didn’t work half the time. The main lamp in the room didn’t work. One of the bathroom lights didn’t work half the time, so was difficult to do my makeup. No vent fan in the bathroom. Barely any blankets on the bed (yes easy fix) but the thermostat only gives you an option for a temperature, not 72° on heat. If it was under 75° it was blowing cold air and then 76° and higher was heat. It felt like hell in the middle of the night. More mirrors in the room would have been nice also. Random but there are no hooks near the shower for your towel so you either had to put it on the floor or walk across the bathroom to grab it. The shower head was from 1990 at least. The renovation looked like it was totally a renters special. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone staying in Cleveland, especially for the price of over $300 a night. It’s super noisy at night which is fine for me, but if you don’t want to hear people constantly yelling I wouldn’t stay here either.

★★★★★Family and I stayed here earlier this month and had a great time. Upon arrival, front desk took care of my kids by giving them superhero masks and capes which kept them busy. Really thoughtful service experience with front desk.||Rooms were well appointed and much nicer than hotels we have stayed in previously. Shower was incredible!!||Overall, happy we chose this place. So much better than the others and has a better energy overall. Also felt very safe as it was in a busy area.||We will be back!!

★★★★★Excellent hotel with nice accommodations for our dog. Valet service was excellent, including Albert, who got our car and assisted us when we arrived and departed. The location was nice in the heart of Cleveland. The rooms were clean. our bed is very comfortable and the pillows were firm. they had a nice wine hour from 5 to 6 PM and then the following day coffee was free in the lobby. The lobby was very warm inviting and had a nice fireplace.

NillThe staff seem to have no concept of hospitality. Housekeeping starts banging around and shouting across the hallway at 8am, well before check-out time, which makes it impossible to sleep in. The soundproofing is also terrible, you can hear every step from the room above. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. The location is great, and the lobby and restaurant are nice — but the service is seriously lacking.

NillI really apricated the sound machine in the room. I need that noise to fall asleep a normally have a tough time sleeping in hotels, but the mix of the super comfortable bed and the in room sound machine really helped out. However the real star of the show was the water pressure in the shower. It was very exhilarating and has the highlight of my stay. The 5-6 happy hour in the lobby was nice as well. The parking situation is the only negative but if it isn't 20 degrees out a little walk to cheaper parking options isn't too bad.

★★★★★We arrived at Kimpton late in the evening and the valet and front desk were very friendly and polite. It was raining and the valet allowed us to unload and check-in so we did not have to carry the luggage around from the self park. Parking is convenient at the back of the hotel. The front desk staff are all very polite and friendly. They were always helpful if we needed anything. This was definitely a change from our experience when we stayed in another Kimpton in Atlanta. Kimpton Overland in Atlanta was the WORST experience we had. When we checked into Kimpton Overland, we had vouchers for breakfast for our stay. The next morning, their front desk staff CONFISCATED those vouchers and said we shouldn’t have been given the breakfast vouchers due to our Platinum IHG status. We were flabbergasted and check out early from Kimpton Overland vowing never to stay at another Kimpton establishment. But our experience at Kimpton Shofield reversed our perception. The Kimpton Shofield staff definitely went above and beyond to satisfy their customers. FIVE STARS!!!

NillI enjoyed my stay here! The staff were very friendly and assisted with any request I had. The valet staff was excellent and kind too! My room was nice as well. I appreciated the hours for free wine, too 😁. This hotel is conveniently located downtown near several restaurants and all the sporting venues. I would stay again.
