Tru by Hilton Rapid City Rushmore

Check in was good, the desk person was great and personable!! However the housekeeping was a totally different matter! We got back to our room after being gone the 1st day to find the bathroom had been cleaned and trash taken (including trash bags) however trash bags had not been replaced and beds were not touched!. When I asked at the front desk they apologized and stated they would pass along our concerns. The second day when we got back, the room had not been couched and housekeeping stated they were told we asked for "no service" That was not true!! we left so they could clean the room. Came back and beds had been sort of made, as in sheets thrown back, however it was a sloppy job and there were now bags in the trash cans. This time the bathroom had not been cleaned! Paid a premium price to have a walk in shower, and expected there would be decent service for that price. I was also very disappointed that there was no microwave and not even an ice bucket or coffee maker in the room. There was a small fridge. I think this is Hilton's attempt at a "budget" hotel, and have to say they are NOT doing it well. I have traveled a good bit and to be frank have never paid this much or had this bad of an experience ever before. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY!! This hotel shares a building with Hampton Inn. I suspect they offer better services and probably at similar rates

The room was highly clean and smelled fresh. The price was excellent. The front desk Supervisor was professional, efficient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. Lots of open spaces in the hotel to get work done and encourage socialization with their board games. The view was excellent. The location was also excellent: right next to I-90, but tucked away in a quiet spot.

Just a great experience here! We stayed before flying out of Rapid City the next morning. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Hotel is modern. Breakfast included with typical continental breakfast options. No complaints, would definitely recommend.

Double queen room is pretty cramped. Other complaint is that the pool room is like 150 degrees which makes the water feel colder than it actually is and kind of uncomfortable for parents watching the children swim. Otherwise no complaints. Pool is great, children love the slide and it is about as safe as it gets as far as water slides are concerned. Hotel is clean with nice staff and a slightly above average breakfast for the cost of the rooms. Our double queen room ran us $610 for 4 nights in early October. Decent parking. Decent view out our window watching the sunset if you can look past the first 100yards of trashy area. Overall we are very happy with our experience here.

Great location in an area with lots of shopping, gas station & restaurants. Front desk was very courteous & helpful. The employees were responsive to guest needs. The courtesy breakfast was very good. Nice selection and area kept clean. Hotel had a water cooler where a guest could refill plastic water bottles. The desk clerk offered us 2 free bottles of water when we checked in. Hotel sits too close to Interstate. The truck engine noise was tremendous all night. Clean new towels everyday. Enjoyed our stay.

Location is ideal near shopping, downtown and restaurants. The room is clean although relatively small and spartan. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping forgot to leave fresh towels twice in four days. The daily breakfast was actually quite good and the eating area was clean.

Spent two nights here on our way to visit Mount Rushmore, and crazy horse. Clean comfortable rooms. Love the walk in shower, free breakfast. Close to shopping and dining. Staff were accommodating. Love staying at True. Never disappointed.

Staff is great, very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. However the beds are hard and the pillows weren't that great. One of the worst night sleeps I've got in a while.
