Residence Inn Rapid City

Rooms very nice and clean. They oversold the room type we had reserved so they upgraded is for free. Customer service and the desk crew very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The free access to the WaTiki water park is a great perk too. Kids had a great time.

Nice stay. We were there 5 nights. Adrian had our room cleaned perfectly. The suite kitchen had all needed. 4 stars is because of the pool only. And breakfast only goes until 9a - and it's a firm 9a, so get down there early.

I will be staying here for about 9 weeks. From the moment I checked in the staff has been absolutely wonderful. After being here over a 2-week. The staff is still very good but I do have issues with the fact that the breakfast is always the exact same the website advertises that you can use the hot tub but it's in the water park area so you have to pay a minimum of $10 to go in there and then usually the kids are using it as a swimming pool. If they're going to offer a hot tub on their website they should either let you know it's at a charge or take it off. Also I've had mail sent there three times and for some reason has been sent back to sender every time I've checked the address with three different desk Clarks and they all say the address is correct., yet they continue to return my mail even though I asked daily if it is in. I know it was returned because the last time I had it sent first class would signature and someone signed for it and then sent it back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The rooms were really clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be coming back soon.

When we arrived at 11:15, I went to the front desk where the lady came out from the back acting like I was an inconvenience for her. I asked her if I could check in early because we came 4 hours away. She said they didn’t have any rooms ready. She said to call the front desk at 1:30 and they may have one ready by then. I responded “ok well can we go to the waterpark in the mean time? And do we get a discount for staying there?” She said “yes you can go to the waterpark but no you can’t have the discount until you check in.” Which wasn’t until 1:30 (MAYBE). She was rude and inattentive. The other gentlemen next to her said we’d have to wait as well even though we had reservations. The discount is 20%/person and yes for 5 of us, we wanted the discount. So it’d be about $20 off. My husband asked the gentleman behind the desk kindly if we could go to the waterpark and then come back to check in and receive a discount. He said no you have to check in first. We decided to walk to the waterpark from there (which was convenient) and check it out then see if they’ll sell us our tickets with our hotel discount. She was very overwhelmed and said “after the day I’m having, I don’t freaking care. So yes.” THANK YOU TO HER EVEN THO SHE WAS STRESSED OUT cuz our 3, 5 and 7 year old would not be able to wait a couple hours. The hotel staff was not accommodating or kind in any way from the moment I walked through the doors. Also the side doors to the hotel are loud and cause your room door to wiggle and jiggle like someone is trying to get into the room. That was annoying. I was very disappointed and unimpressed. We won’t be back.

My wife is a lifetime platinum member of Bonvoy. We got no special treatment at all from this hotel. We were forced to checkout at 11am like everyone else and were denied any late checkout. Rooms were fine but they showed more wear and tear than would be expected from a hotel that advertised itself as "new". Breakfast was terrible and probably one of the lower quality ones when compared with other Residence Inns. The staff was friendly and one of the few bright spots of our stay despite us not being given any perks afforded Platinum members. I blame that more on the ownership than the workers. All in all, an ok hotel. For those with Marriott status, don't expect anything at all.

This is the best hotel connected to Watiky water park: the rooms are very clean, spacious, we had all our cats. And the rooms come with all basic toiletries and cleaning supplies, great smart tv, custom to you, fridge, a lot of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, a full desk, chair, dressers, tv table, lighting, enough plugs for charging your electronics, enough towels, a full range and all kitchen supplies, dishwasher under the sink. This hotel even access to laundry in the first floor, free good breakfast, arcade, fitness room, mini shop, two restaurants , and the Waterpark. They even have RV parking and it’s free. the front desk people were very helpful and we had the veterans discount package special for Veterans Day, we had a great time, the hotel is near Mount Rush, wineries, the Bear country, and other great places.

I always stay here before I catch a flight, or if I am in town for business. This was the first time I had a day to relax and not be out before 5am. Check out time is noon. However at 8:30am banging on the door, and housekeeping opens the door. Glad I had the extra lock on. I complained. Excuse me. I tried to complain about it only to be met with attitude from the woman at the front desk. Let me repeat that. Check out is at NOON. I've traveled to many countries and have never been treated with such disrespect, nor have I ever had housekeeping bang on my room door hours before Check out time in any hotel I've stayed at.
