Super 8 by Wyndham Austin North/University Area

Elevator was once again not working properly upon exiting with my cart full of stuff! it's a reocurring thing there, It wouldn't be so bad If they kept both elevators running but they only utilize one, common let's do better, You have great potential to up your score if you fix your elevators. Four floors at this hotel. Otherwise Staff is pretty friendly and tries to make your stay enjoyable

For the price, this place grants you a good enough place to rest for the night, but with no extra frills of course. Our room had breakfast included (selection was pretty limited). The hotel in some areas actually smells like they disinfect the place, so thats nice. The room itself it pretty basic, blankets are on the thinner side, but all clean. It was dated for sure, but had soaps, towels, shampoo, laundry bag and ironing tools. Also had a fridge and microwave. Only downside would be the fact that its right by a major road so traffic noises can come through depending on where your room is, I suppose :) Service was excellent at the front desk at check-in and check-out. We were there for a very short time, so I can't say I know how close it was to places of interest but it was definitely a short drive from 6th Street and some trails.

It was my first time in Austin and the same in super 8 hotel. In general, the experience was fine, service in front desk, clean room; just an issue, the doors were hard to close that means noise. There were some noisy guest open and close the doors and discussing all night long it was not really easy to rest

DON'T STAY!!!!!!! BED BUGS Spend a little extra money and stay somewhere else. When we arrived, there was already an issue with my reservations. The lady at the desk, however, was very sweet, but it took about 20 minutes to get to the room. When we got to the room, it was so hot in there and had a bad smell. The minute we were about to sit on the bed, we saw a bed bug. Please do yourself a favor. Don't bother, it's not worth it. I don't know how this place is still open. BED BUGS, really? The room was #322

It’s the town easily mistaken a border town like Tijuana. From the near by convenient store to this hotel, was run by Hispanic staff. The cleaning lady was listening to a loud Mexican music through the radio while doing the cleaning and the handy man talking loudly to his colleagues while pounding the nails to the wall. The handle bar in the bathroom was missing and the TV control was not in the room. You can see the hotel is cutting the budget by not serving the tea bags or coffee in the guest rooms. Besides all this unexpected experience, the staff was friendly and helpful especially the lovely front desk, Haydy was amazing sweet and helpful.

Awesome staff! Prices are great! I stayed at this location while receiving treatment and i cannot say enough about them and their professionalism. The staff was just precious. Haydy who has been so sweet , gracious and accommodating going above and beyond to make sure i was taken care of. Kathy who goes out of her way to make sure you have what you need. Susan who was on nights was so kind and understanding taking the time to make my stay as comfortable as possible and checking on me. Erin the manager who took the time out of his day to personally make sure i was being served in the best possible manner. All of the girls in housekeeping were just adorable and so thorough and professional. This hotel is a great stay and the prices are great. If you’re looking for a hotel that is clean and quiet where the staff really cares and personalizes your stay then this location is perfect for you!

SHOWER DID NOT work. I brought this up to the hotel twice and they didn’t fix it and they did t offer to move my rooms. They also refused to offer any compensation since I booked “3rd party”. The toilet also had stains on the seat. Very unsanitary. Very inconvenient. I had to stop at a gym to buy a shower because the showers didn’t work. They made ZERO effort to help in any way. I do t need special treatment, just get me a room with a working shower. However they refused to refund me or compensate me at all

Rooms are nice size & clean. Mattresses were lumpy & uncomfortable. It is noisy as it's usually crowded, and the doors slam very loudly. The staff is very nice & helpful.
