Have stayed a few times now. Showed up a day early to Galveston and wanted to add a 2nd night without having to check out and leave for 5 hours with our luggage then check back in with the same room, so I attempted to contact them to see if it would be possible to add a day since the room wasn't booked. Called, texted and did all I could for 4 hours without a response. In fact they never replied at all. Even the next day to apologize for not responding. Absolutely horrible service. It's a shame because the rooms and location are amazing. They must not care about money because they lost out on a few hundred dollars for a night. Next time will question to stay with them again after that. Customer service needs to improve by a long shot.

We had an amazing stay at Emily's On The Island. I booked this for my daughter’s 12th birthday and she loved it! The location was perfect — close to Sugar & Rye, the Seawall, Pleasure Pier, & downtown. The room itself was clean, comfortable, very cutesy, and exactly as described in the listing. The host provided clear instructions. The space was well-equipped with everything we needed. I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Galveston and I would definitely book again in the future. Thank you for the great experience!

Enjoyed our stay while visiting our bourbon barrels being aged at Texas Tails Distillery. Room is clean, comfortable and great location. Certainly recommend a stay here.

Emilys on the Island was the perfect one-night stay before a cruise. The room is located in a quiet, yet easily accessible area. It felt very safe. Bikes are included if you wish to explore the island. Uber to the SeaWall was only $6, but you could easily walk (about a mile). The bed was extremely comfortable and there was coffee, which is enough to make me happy. Highly recommend!

We booked The Pink Room at Emily’s on the Island since it’s so close to The Strand in Galveston and a close walk to all the fun shops and eatery’s. Just as soon as we hit the door we instantly loved the lofty modern style mixed with eclectic prints that greeted us. It had everything we needed to be cozy for a night stay and I adore its historic feel both in and out. You have truly sitting on a gold mine and we hope you will be blessed growing even more wonderful ventures in the future. Thanks again Emily’s on the Island we are definitely coming back for another stay!

I stayed at the Banana Bay Room, Suite 2 for Labor Day weekend. The room was cozy and had great decor, in addition to a nice bathroom, comfortable bed and TV with Wi-Fi. Loved the pink and palm leaf colors. There were also two complementary bikes that came with the stay, which were great for riding around downtown and to the beach when the trolleys aren’t running. Location is great, walkable to The historic Strand and the restaurants and shops. This was my first visit to Galveston and I would definitely recommend coming here again. Also, a great value compared to other hotels and stays in the area. Also, I would recommend Sugar and Rye Restaurant on the corner for drinks or dinner. The food was delicious.

Great little gem in the heart of town! My daughter and I took the Polar Express excursion with the Railroad Museum, and I was excited to find Emily’s within walking distance. The Palms room was beautiful, and the snacks provided came in handy while we waited between check in & the train ride. My 6 yr old was super excited that the little refrigerator was “her size” & she could access everything “on her own”. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was stocked with essentials, and the complimentary shampoo/conditioner was an added bonus. The only improvement I can think of is that It would be helpful to leave a laminated page in the room with the text contact number (you can’t reach a live person via phone), emergency number (which was also emailed & texted) and local establishment numbers for visitor ease. We had such a fun time that my daughter wanted to stay a second night, and we will definitely book again!

Love, love, love the aesthetics of this hidden gem 💎 my dog throughly enjoyed his stay. Lol We were so stoked to have found a dog friendly place! Quick getaway from the city! We also loved the cute restaurant across the street that was recommended. My friend had a sugar momma & I had a French 75 with fresh strawberry 🍓 juice 😋😋 fried tomatoes and cornbread was very tasty, crab cakes were our favvv and we also ordered the seafood pasta and bread pudding for dessert! Nothing bad to say will return in the future. I’ve already shared to my fellow dog moms 😎🫶🏾😀
