The Mansard House

We just finished staying for 5 nights at the Mansard House. We loved the decor of our suite as well as the public areas. It felt homey. We loved the variety of bagels & yogurt offerings for breakfast. The location of this boutique hotel was perfect for walking & exploring the neighborhoods from the seawall to the Strand. Every person who worked there were very kind & informative. We will definitely try to stay here again in the future.

The Mansard House stay was everything we thought it would be. The location is close to downtown and felt very safe, secure parking and easy access. Parking is right off the lovely Courtyard that leads directly to the kitchen area entrance. Although there is not a checkIn desk, the email information was very precise is what to do. There is a number to call for immediate problems. The rooms are very spacious and quality decor and bedding. Although it is a small hotel, all our needs were met. |We highly recommend staying here. Galveston Island is small so getting to the hotel, driving around the Island is easy.

My husband & I had a lovely stay at The Mansard House. We stayed for 1 night to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was clean, peaceful, well equipped, and the bed was extremely comfortable! The adult only vibe felt like we were at a relaxing spa retreat. Ashley & Michael did a wonderful job restoring this place and every little detail is just perfect. It was also fun to chat with Michael briefly in the morning while he set out homemade bagels for breakfast. We will definitely stay again if we ever get back to Galveston!

Great experience. Quiet and quant. Had coffee with complete strangers at breakfast nook and was really nice. We talked about our experience over coffee and bagels . Rooms were great . Heated pool was fun . Young man who works there in morning ( yea you) was truly helpful with great conversation:) Also got the pleasure to run into Micheal there was super friendly with that contagious smile! Best part of my vacation ……………

The staff was helpful and friendly. So accommodating to all our needs. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Perfect location for walking to the beach or to downtown. And for Valentines day they provided us a charcuterie tray and wine. What an amazing touch. Highly recommend this hotel.

The building/hotel was even more beautiful than it appeared on TV. What an amazing restoration, wonderfully done while keeping the character of the building. The suite we stayed in did not disappoint! Great location, close to everything and the on site secure parking was a great bonus.

Beautifully appointed, charming, comfortable and thoughtful. Off-season in Galveston is our favorite time to go. Mansard House is the perfect blend of romance, quaint decor and beautiful restoration. We loved all the little additions of history added throughout the hotel. Although booked full, all the guests were quiet and respectful. I loved the addition of the floor fan in our room. The original moldings, ceilings and floors played in well with the charm. The modern amenities such as mini splits, the pool and showers were great. I almost removed a star because we couldn't turn down the air or turn off the temperature light but realized the next morning there's a remote! It's white, for anyone having the same issue. We'll stay there again 100%. Great job, Michael & Ashley!

My husband and I loved our stay at The Mansurd House. It was quiet and relaxing. The staff was exceptional in every aspect. We stayed in Suite 12 which was wonderfully comfortable. There's a lovely front porch with plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy a nice relaxing day. The heated pool was an amazing place to enjoy a dip in the pool or relax on area lounge seating. There's gated parking as well. Absolutely loved our stay and will return again. Really close to The Strand and also the beach with loads of restaurants and shopping.
