Super 8 by Wyndham Galveston

Heat did not work. No other rooms to offer. Only one blanket available. Staff was friendly and trying to do a good job with limited resources. Hard to find entrance. No elevator. Definitely a no-frills place. Adequate for one night if you bring your own blankets.

We recently departed on a cruise from Galveston and though we're only 4 hours by car, the drive would have resulted in the morning rush through downtown Houston. We decided to leave the afternoon prior to departure and searched for a reasonably priced lodging close to the terminal and decided on the Super 8 in Galveston. We had a great stay in a spacious and comfortable room that was very reasonably priced. Though the breakfast offering was a continental breakfast, the room and service was very nice and, besides, a 24-hour Waffle House is only 100 yeards in front of the Super 8. Best of all, the cruise terminal is only 10-16 minutes away. We'd stay here again.

Very convenient to the sea wall and the convention center. The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and functional. There was a small table, a microwave and a small fridge in the room. The bed was not great and not bad. It’s not the newest or hippest but it’s clean and affordable and literally across the road from the hotel I stayed at last week for more than double the price. The WiFi did not work well for me. Front desk said they were having server issues. All in all a very solid bargain for a clean place to sleep.

Booked a ground floor room. When we got there, all ground floor rooms were closed due to air/heat not working. No elevator. Got a second floor room which were nice and clean. In the middle of the first night, the air conditioner started making sounds. Second night air did not work.

We booked just 1 night, pre cruise. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was clean, neat, tidy, and looked to have been remodeled. There is no carpet on the floor...so excited about this. Breakfast, well, just plan on going somewhere if you're hungry. If in the area again we will stay here.

The beds were very comfortable after a long day driving. Driveway is difficult to see, especially for someone not familiar with the area. The overnight clerk was very easy to work with, unlike the Nancy working the desk in the morning. That and the breakfast was the only negative thing about this Super 8. Luckily there is a Waffle House on the front of the property. I am a member of multiple hotel chains and look for the best deals. And the rate was a reasonable rate for last minute booking.

I love staying at this motel when i'm in galveston. The staff is amazing. There's a waffle house just a short short walk from the motel. But I chose to make bacon and scrambled eggs on the grill. The rooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable. Very fair on the price and only one block from the beach.

Booked this hotel for the price and we only needed it for one night. In walking distance to several restaurants and convenience stores. Pretty close to the beach and seawall. Our Room TV kept on loosing signal that was a bit annoying. More details in the other sections. The "continental" breakfast consisted of small muffins coffee and orange juice. Needless to say Wafflehouse next door to the rescue !!!!
