Is there a threshold for the number of stars available to review? I find myself struggling to convey just how egregious booking this property would be. Two weeks ago, we reserved this house for a family reunion, as my brother-in-law was arriving from Australia with his three young children. After driving several hours to collect them from the airport, just 45 minutes prior to our check-in, our reservation was abruptly canceled with a terse message stating there were air conditioning issues to resolve. Attempts to contact the host were futile, as they had vanished without a trace. Frantically, we returned to Airbnb to find alternative accommodations, only to discover the same property listed as available—at a staggering $600 more! We found ourselves stranded, with three young children and a teenager, after a grueling 24-hour journey from Australia, scouring for a hotel or any other viable option. This conduct is beyond unethical—it is utterly reprehensible. At the very least, a phone call offering an apology would have been a gesture of goodwill. I wholeheartedly urge others to steer clear of this property!
