DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas - DFW Airport North

I was stuck in the DFW area beacuse my flight was cancelled. The next flight was not until 7pm the next day. I chose this hotel because in general I like Double Tree Hotels. They also provide a free shuttle, which I have to say, was amazing. It worked great. However, given all the resources the Hilton Company has at their disposal, it was disappointing how run down this hotel is. Hopefully the company will invest in some much needed renovations. The rooms, hallways and lobby are dated and smell. The lock on my room door lock ran out of batteries and maintenance had to come help. As mentioned in the comments, the water temperature in the shower is tempermental. I did love the staff though. Overall, it served its purpose but this hotel is not up to Doule Tree standard. I would consider this on par with a Motel 6.

I had the pleasure of interacting with Victor at the front desk during my recent stay at the DoubleTree, and he truly made the experience memorable. From the moment I arrived, Victor was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in, offered great local recommendations, and made sure I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail are a perfect example of excellent customer service. Thank you, Victor, for making my stay so enjoyable. Also to Martina in housekeeping thanks for making the room super tidy!

This hotel is definitely a bit dated, and we experienced some issues with the air conditioning during our stay, which was inconvenient. However, LaTrice and the front desk staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Their exceptional service really made a difference and helped improve our overall experience. While the property could use some updates, the staff’s kindness and professionalism stood out. If you value great customer service, I would still recommend this hotel despite the minor setbacks.

**Disappointed with This DoubleTree Location** My wife and I are loyal DoubleTree guests and typically have excellent experiences at their properties—unfortunately, that was not the case here. We arrived late due to a flight cancellation and were informed that the hotel offered a shuttle to the airport. However, we were told we could not schedule a pickup time and instead needed to be downstairs 10 minutes before the hour to catch the shuttle. We arrived 20 minutes early, only to watch the shuttle depart without warning. I asked the front desk if they could stop the driver, but was told another shuttle would be coming soon. As more guests gathered, the next shuttle arrived already full and couldn’t accommodate us. We continued to wait, but ultimately had to pay out of pocket for an Uber in order to get to the airport. Due to the poor communication and lack of coordination from the hotel staff, we missed our flight and were forced to spend the entire day in Dallas waiting for another one. I would not recommend staying at this DoubleTree. This experience was frustrating, costly, and far below the standard we’ve come to expect. I hope this location takes steps to improve its guest services and transportation procedures.

This is an older hotel. They do a pretty good job of up keep be water pressure was bad. Hot water was bad. The rooms are small. And worse, I found a Silverfish in my sink this morning. Hate those things. The breakfast was good. The pool is still not open.

We’ve waited for the airport shuttle for 45+ minutes! Called 4 times to ask why it takes them this long and their response was they are coming. What a disaster of a service! It’s better to not just offer it! While waiting for the shuttle the Holiday Inn shuttle came by 3 times. The hallway and the room had a mildew smell. In the room it was obvious that there was a water damage on the ceiling and then it was covered by adding wall color on top of it. This just caused my mold sensitivities to flare up. There were some yellow stains on the carpet through out the whole room. Do not recommend. I am shocked how this place runs under Hilton.

Fantastic breakfast. Quiet and calming rooms and lobby. The warm cookie was delicious. Everything about this stay was above notch. Engaging staff with smiles and sincerity. Even the shuttle services were nice and accommodating.

Shuttle service was good and staff was nice. However, this property is really run down. The room was very very musty. The shower mixing valve was impossible to adjust; either burning hot or freezing cold. Furniture was in bad shape; broken drawers, etc. The poor maintenance made me wonder about cleanliness. I'd have asked for a better room, but it was late, and I didn't think I probably would have gotten anything better. Disappointed in this Hilton property.
