Best Western Texas City

Our family had a fantastic stay at this location. We booked through a third-party site, which created some minor technical issues upon arrival. However, the front desk clerk, Antoine, was incredibly helpful and worked diligently to to effortlessly solve our issue. Not only was Antoine kind and professional, he was also incredibly knowledgeable regarding the company's policies, standards, and regulations and communicated those with us throughout the entire booking process. If you are in the area, and looking for a clean, comfortable stay at a great value, this Best Western location off of Highway 146 is the perfect option. Most notable highlights: -Great customer service -Spacious, clean rooms and clean bedding -Includes a pool and hot/cold breakfast items

The staff were kind and friendly. My room was clean and my overall stay was good. I experienced a few minor inconveniences. My room key cards did not initially work. The staff were helpful to try to correct the issue. When revisiting my room after, only one of the two keycards worked. Also, the staff were not aware of how to operate their EV charger. I asked about it when I checked in, as I wanted to top off my EV's charge. I was told I could try it, but it had never worked. My EV could detect that the charger was connected, but could not initiate a charge. After googling the specific charger later in the day out of curiosity, it seems a physical key is needed to enable charging. Luckily the need to charge was not critical for me on my trip to this location. Lastly, the room was fairly hot and smelled of cleaning chemicals at check-in. This was resolved by running the AC for a while. Again, all minor inconveniences. Breakfast was good. The overall stay was okay.

Everything about this place was amazing. Rooms clean, great service people, pool clean and you have several stores like Aldi, HEB and Kroger near by. And let's not forget about the free breakfast, it was tasty and plenty to leave you full for the activities. And only a 20 min drive from Galveston.

The room was spacious and well cleaned. The property was nice and no loud noise. My only complaint was the humidity in the room. The room smelled wet and my daughter's allergies were bothered. Other than the damp smell all was good. Maybe it was just my room.

The room was a little musty but that is to be expected this close to the ocean! Nighttime person at desk is not very helpful, he was to worried about being outside smoking and on his phone. And the breakfast is not the greatest. But all in all was a clean motel and perfect place for price before getting on cruise ship.

The rooms were extremely hot when we entered them and it took close to an hour for them to cool off. The carpet smelled and looked extremely dirty and dingy. We had three different methods of payment for each room, yet this property charged all three rooms at once on one method of payment. They have a literal sign posted saying that you are not ALLOWED to take breakfast items out of the buffet area. In my 30 years of staying in hotels, I have NEVER seen that. We needed an extra set of towels. When I came down to request towels, I was told that I had to bring a set of dirty towels down to get a set of clean towels. I have NEVER had to do this at ANY hotel. The guy who checked us in was super nice. We only chose this property because a family member needed cheap accommodations. We normally do Hilton brands only. This experience was not the best and we will NEVER recommend or come back again. The owners of this property are just CHEAP! Definitely more Motel Six vibes than Best Western!

Great night stay. Good nights rest. Breakfast fresh and hot. Not many locations local have a pool and they do, was really nice. Staff awesome and professional. Jennifer Z. and staff are great team, make you feel welcome. Next time in town will stay again.

Stayed here before our cruuse out of Galveston, TX. The room was clean. Air was turned off, and we had to wait for the wall unit to cool the room down, and it did. Staff was not super friendly but not rude. Hey, the room was clean!
