The Farm House

We rode our motorcycles to Winthrop in September. After a long ride from Vancouver Island, we were really pleased when we arrived at the Farm House. It is an old farmhouse just over the bridge from Winthrop. It was perfect for the 6 of us. We had 3 bedrooms of the 6 in the house. None of the other rooms was booked, so we had the place to ourselves. The rooms we had were very good size, all with ensuite baths. The house was clean cozy, comfortable. We picked up pizza and wine from the gourmet pizza place across the street. It is no 5 star hotel, but we loved it. Next time we go back we hope it is available.

Good place with some disappointments. The owner is very likable, but located off site so you may not see her. Has a clean kitchen for great cooking in. The room was tiny - overpriced for what it was ($60 single in off season), but lucked out and only 1 other family there while I was. On a loud, busy hwy road - so the otherwise peaceful sun porch was a bit loud. But bright, light and overall was good. Should be a few dollars less for the small space.|
