The Cranberry, Ascend Hotel Collection

The staff were kind and efficient. The check in/out process was smooth. The room was very large with a balcony. I feared it would be noisy but it was remarkably quiet! The bed was very comfortable. There was not a good way to keep the water from the accessible shower from getting the floor wet out in the bathroom. There is a small fee for the buffet breakfast that was well worth it. Waffles and pancakes, breakfast potatoes, bacon and scrambled eggs along with cereals, pastries, yogurt and fruits. The area has convenient restaurants in walking distance too.

I really loved this hotel and was low-key surprised it was a Choice hotel. Lol. The hotel is very nice! Check-in was okay, she was nice but not very engaging. The hotel was clean and the beds were super comfy. They do charge for breakfast which I thought was very weird for a hotel in this price range. The biggest downside to this hotel is that they are located right next door to a very busy and very LOUD restaurant that has music blasting. I was so thankful she gave us a room towards the back so we didn’t have to listen to all that noise. Parking is terrible due to the restaurant as well.

I am not a light sleeper. But the even numbered rooms are right by route 68, and the trucks go by all night. I don't know how anyone gets sleep. It is 11:50pm and the road noise is likely to keep me up for quite a while. I assume the odd numbered rooms don't hear the road noise, but the bar/restaurant across the way had a band playing until at least 11. The people here are great. The rooms are nice and feel relatively recently renovated. If the hotel were located anywhere else, I'd give it at least 4 stars.

Stayed there at the spar of the moment with a group of friends. Place was everything you could possibly want! Excellent service from the get go, clean beautiful room, friendly, helpful staff! This place has it all. The Owner, Scott, took time out of his day as we were leaving to give us some history of his place. Great place to stay! Restaurant right across from entrance with another group of friendly staff and amazing food! Will definitely be back ! !

I was traveling back to MD from the midwest. This hotel is on the eastern side of Morgantown, probably in an area where the professors live - not students. The hotel is clean, fresh and elegant. Our room did not face toward I-66, but we did not hear any highway noise. Breakfast is a great deal, it was only $5 included eggs and bacon. Service was polite.

Nicely located, easy in and out. Pleasant staff. Just feet from Tropics restaurant/bar which was very reasonable as spot for overnight meal

Positive: Very modern updated hotel very quiet in the rooms Negative: The bathroom was disgusting. Orange mold in the shower, old soap on the shower floor, clump of black hair by the toilet. It was late by the time we got to our room and we have small kids and had to be up early the best day or we would?ve informed staff

I stay here when I'm working in Morgantown . The service is great. They have a 5 dollar breakfast that is great. Right across from the hotel is the Tropics restaurant and bar, which serves a delicious prime rib on Friday nights
