Best Western Premier Park Hotel

The Best Western Premier Park is one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in. I was initially put up in a very nice suite of the hotel - with a spectacular view of Wisconsin's state capitol - by a department of the University of Wisconsin which had invited me and had a relationship with the hotel. But after that inital two night stay I booked another night myself & the hotel generously let me stay on in the same suite. The physical property is impressive. The indoor pool & pool area is the best I've ever seen. There is an active and fun bar restaurant in the hotel. For the first time I indulged in room service breakfasts & these were great and economical. I was thoroughly delighted with this hotel which had a solid old fashioned charm and subtle elegance while avoiding the pretentiousness of the usual fancy hotel brands. The area also has fun bars, restaurants and cafes. Finally in checking out I left an article of clothing which hotel staff found and sent to me. I loved this place.

We stayed in a Capitol Suite at The Park Hotel in Madison, and it was a great experience. The room was spacious, with a separate sitting area and a work desk, and the view of the Capitol was stunning. The staff were excellent – from valet parking to the front desk, everyone was friendly and helpful. We also had a chance to dine at The Post restaurant, and the food was perfectly prepared. Whenever we’re in Madison, we’ll be staying at The Park Hotel again.

Stayed here for New Year's Eve. Check-in process was easy, the young woman who checked us in was in training but had it not been for her nametag saying as much we wouldn't have guessed. Friendly staff in the morning at check-out as well. Clean rooms, fairly quiet. The view on the not capitol side isn't great, but we never expect much when we book third party and were happy to get a high floor away from the elevator. Pool area was nicer than expected. Location was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. From the welcoming staff, the clean and comfortable room with multiple pillow densities to choose from, and the beautiful bathroom. I really was able to relax. The WiFi was strong enough to handle some work I needed to accomplish from my room. The location was excellent for the IRONMAN triathlon race which took place 3 blocks from the hotel making it easy to get around by foot. It's a short 10 min Uber ride from the airport. People are friendly in the area and anytime I had questions about where to go for a meal or navigation around town, the hotel staff were helpful.

I'm just wrapping up a two-night, weekend stay at the Park Hotel, and the everything about it exceeded my expectations! From the location, the convenient check in, the friendly, competent staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, the spacious, well-appointed rooms, and the quiet stay, this hotel cannot be beat. This place truly feels like a home away from home. Give it a try, and do make use of the on-site bar. It gets pretty happening!

The staff was wonderful, and the location couldn’t be better. However, the beds were quite firm and could benefit from an upgrade to enhance guest comfort. It took a bit of time for the hot water to start, which was unexpected, though the team was responsive in addressing it. Additionally, the initial hair dryer didn’t work, but a replacement was promptly provided. When minor issues arise, a small gesture—such as a complimentary cocktail or discount—can make a big difference, though no such offer was made. These delays unfortunately led us to miss our scheduled tour of the Capitol across the street. Thank you to the team for their assistance, and we hope these small improvements can make future stays even more enjoyable!

Best location, being across from the Capitol. Talk about a room with a view! Had a group staying there and no major concerns. Bar/restaurant area is reasonable. The bathrooms are a bit small, especially if you're sharing a room. Also held a banquet at The Top of the Park. It was fabulous, from the view, set-up and food! I highly recommend.

I stayed here for the 2024 Madison Marathon due to the proximity to start/finish. Not only did this hotel refuse multiple times to accommodate my late checkout (1pm), but they made me late to the start line because i had to check my bags and checkout. There was a conference that arrived the exact same day, but refused to accommodate current guests. The told me to ask each night to be sure, and the answer was the same each time. Pathetic. DO NOT STAY HERE, IT’S basically a comfort inn trash “hotel”. I will never visit madison ever again based on this experience alone. All the employees acted like i was requesting their first born child instead of prioritizing my experience as a visitor to the city for the marathon. Additionally the room i stayed in had A WINDOW TO A HALLWAY, which directly looking into the gym??? Worst hotel experience in years by far. This is unacceptable
